Ripped off by the Illinois police!
In 2020 I traveled to the east coast to meet with a long time romantic boyfriend to say goodbye during his last days. We had a wonderful weekend together remembering all the good times. I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me the beautiful gift of financial independence as one of his last acts. We stored it in my car and started driving home. In western Illinois, I was sleepy and pulled into a rest stop near Princeton, Illinois. I was rudely awakened by cops pounding on the window. They rousted me out of my car, searched my car, and claimed that the gift of love given to me by my old boyfriend was drug money. They even took the money right out of my blue jeans. I thought America required warrants until I met these pirates of the highway. Luckily, after making inquiries, I found Stephen Komie and his team of crusaders to get my money back. In autumn of 2023, he was successful in restoring the funds that had been taken from me. Komie and Associates won back money that we never thought we would see again! They were very friendly and professional. Mr Komie went out of his way to explain things and make it easy for us. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Job well done!
I was busted driving my car through Blue Island, IL smoking a doobie. I need medical marihuana because I have a herniated spine. The pain is excruciating so I took a smoke to kill the pain and allowed me to get through the day. The sergeant who busted me said the smoke was coming out the window. He put me in handcuffs and found my edible gummies and ginger snaps. So I went down for a felony. To top it off he threw in an intoxicated driving. I was up for Manufacture and Delivery plus DUI plus Driving while Smoking. I contacted NORML, they recommended Stephen Komie. I cannot tell you what a wonderful job he did busting the fuzz. When all was said and done the felony was gone, the driving while intoxicated was gone, and I left the courthouse after pleading guilty to misdemeanor possession of edibles Komie saved my life. So I am still able to get a job, earn money and have a career. If you’re busted by the cops, you need Komie!

Excellent lawyer
Back in 1991 I was passing thru the train station. I was stopped by the DEA. They searched my bags and found 126lbs of weed. I was facing mandatory min. For interstate trafficking and attempt to deliver. I came to first date. After words he made a reservation at the old rose bud restaurant. Needless to say after a few more visits. I was home in Florida with probation and a fine. Best representation I've had. Thank you.

EXCELLENT ATTORNEY AND TEAM!
Mr. Komie and his associates went into overdrive for me. From the beginning, Mr. Komie and associates stood out with their knowledge and expertise and ultimately managed to reduce what I was dealing with to basically a slap on the wrist. I really appreciate their hard work and determination to get excellent results. They calmed my nerves and helped me stay on route to become the best version of myself. The team truly understands and cares about fighting for you. You can understand the respect that they deserve and have earned over the years. You can be sure that you’ll get the best council. I can’t express how thankful and appreciative of them I am. Great Attorney and great people. I’m glad I hired them!

My Baby taken by DCFS
In January of 2021 I was blessed with the birth of my first daughter Millie. Within 30 days Millie suffered an ischemic brain bleed. We rushed her to Edward/Elmhurst Hospital. They were unable to provide an explanation of the cause of our daughter's unexplained bleed. Edward immediately summoned DCFS who threatened to take away our child. Edward Hospital unable to care for our daughter, transferred her to Lutheran General. At Lutheran General DCFS went into overdrive to seize our child. We were accused of child abuse, "shaken baby." My parents suggested I get a lawyer. Then I found Mr. Stephan Komie. In our first meeting he discussed ischemic brain bleeds vs. blunt trauma and related injuries to infants. He explained the legal procedures, but most importantly gave me the courage to go against the doctors at Lutheran General. We demanded our baby be transferred to Lurie Children's Hospital to seek the true cause of her brain leaking blood into her skull. Five months later DCFS tried to take custody of our baby and remove our baby from our lives to a foster home. Mr. Komie convinced the authorities the case was an ischemic bleed of the brain and not caused by foul play. Mr. Komie's immediate intervention on our behalf led to the return of our precious child Millie. Please, if you or someone you know finds yourself in the unfortunate situation of being wrongfully accused of child abuse, call Mr. Komie as soon as possible. Mr. Komie's expertise in law as well as his passion for his work are the reasons why Millie is home with my husband and I today. Thank you will never accurately express our gratitude for what Mr. Komie did for our family. God answered our prayers in our darkest hours by leading us to Mr. Komie. Millie is home now, thanks to Mr. Komie.

Saved from 30 years
Busted by the Il. State Police on I 55 outside of Springfield with more than 100 pounds of weed. My family found Stephen Komie and his defense team. I was facing a mandatory minimum of 12 to 60 years in prison. I was out on bond in 8 days. The State offered me 30 years. Mr Komie counseled my to reject it because he could do better. Mr. Komie and his team of outstanding lawyers developed my defense to the unconstitutional stop of my car over 3 1/2 years. I never lost faith that he would fight for me although I became unemployed due to Covid 19. Boy did he get me a soft landing. He reduced 100 pounds to 500 grams. I plead to 2 years Second Chance probation with a deferred judgement with out a felony conviction or prison. He sent home to California and my family. I recommend Mr. Komie for anyone who screws up & faces legal troubles. All the other lawyers told me to plead and do time. Not him. He was the the only one who keep me going until he worked a great miracle. He reduced 100 pounds to 500 grams with no felony conviction and a deferred judgement. Mr. komie is simply the best lawyer for big legal trouble.

Criminal Defense Case
Long story short. I needed representation twice. Once in 2015 which he got me off with no jail time . The year 2017 I thought my life was over when I caught the worst case anyone could imagine. Even though I had lost hope and if founded guilty I was facing mandatory jail time. Both Mr. Komie and Mr. Anderson were very optimistic and let time wait itself out, filed the right motions. And a miracle was granted and used the judicial system to our advantage. my family and myself are very truly thankful for the strong effort they put into my case. As a result I was acquitted of all charges, in my opinion I would say Mr. Komie and his associates are one of the top lawyers in Illinois . It was a blessing to have him represent me and help me through my situation. It give me a second chance in life.

DEA swiped my cash.
Long story short. DEA @ Union Station took 59k in cash from me around the end of January 2019 I called around for attorneys and after talking to Mr. Komie felt like he was the most genuine out of the bunch. After some research I also noticed he had experience in this specific field of seizures. Another plus was that he took my case on contingency. Less than a year later, December 2019, Mr. Komie had received my money back and I got a check in the mail for my share. I am very grateful for Mr. Komie’s expertise and his amicable staff. Thank you! You are truly appreciated. May you all have a Merry Solstice & a Happy New Year

Diligent, Involved, Informed, Proactive, Intuitive, Five Star Lawyer
Stephen Komie and his Associate Eric Anderson helped me to reduce what would have been my first felony to a misdemeanor. Initially, I had hired a different lawyer for my case . He did the standard lawyer thing where he went in the courtroom and just asked for the best offer from the State's Attorney. They offered me a felony with no jail time. That lawyer told me this was the best offer I would ever get and to absolutely take it. However, I knew I needed someone to take a deeper look into my case and truly analyze it, and I didn't feel that first lawyer was doing that. I needed someone with more knowledge, I needed someone who cared, and who would do their best to protect me. That's when, by God's hand, I found Mr. Komie. Before I switched lawyers and hired Mr. Komie, I felt helpless, I felt lost, and I was stressed constantly. The moment I stepped into Mr. Komie's office for the first time for the consultation, I saw that I was dealing with someone who knew what they were doing. Mr. Komie explained everything to me in detail from A to Z, actually calmed my nerves (which I thought was impossible), and even gave me life advice. He truly cares about his clients. He cares about us as human beings who are in a tough situation that he can help, not just as a the next customer, as so many other attorneys do in my experience. I hired Mr. Komie on the spot, which I was not expecting to do, I thought I was going to do more shopping. When Mr. Komie stepped up when the Judge called my name during his first court appearance, the Judge's attitude was completely different than before. Before, the Judge wanted my case moved along, and was getting irritated, and with Mr. Komie, the Judge showed respect and actually started to listen. During the entire process, if I had any questions or concerns, I could call the office and Mary, the receptionist, would always answer and assure me that Mr. Komie or Mr. Anderson would call back soon if she couldn't answer my question herself. She is amazing. Mr. Komie and Mr. Anderson fought for me for a year, and after all their hard work, cas I stated before, the case was dropped down to a misdemeanor, and I ended up taking the deal. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Komie and his entire staff. They have earned it. They will help you if need it. THEY are the lawyers you want on your side. I am very grateful to have met them and if anything ever happens to my friends and family where they need legal assistance, Mr. Komie and his associates will be the only ones to call.

Sad mom in California/ Mr. Komie was wonderful
I’m currently in Oahu and I called Mr. Komie at just after 6pm Chicago time and he answered. My son has been in LaSalle County jail for 7 & 1/2 months now. We have counsel but wanted some outside input. He was so kind to take 45 minutes out of his evening to talk with me about my sons case and my concerns. He’s a caring man and is very well versed on the laws and the people involved in the justice system. I would recommend that anyone looking for representation should call Mr. Komie. Thank you so much

One of the Best Criminal Defense Attorney in Chicago
Attorney Komie represented me in an administrative hearing last year. During his representation, I realized how talented, knowledgeable and able Stephen Komie really is and I wish so much that I had hired him to represent me in my federal criminal case. The best thing about Stephen is that he truly cares about his clients and will never leave you in the dark. A big-hearted attorney with unwavering sense of justice, ethics and humanity. It is rare to find an attorney with excellent trial skills with a big heart. Rest assured that if you hire him, he will give your case his best. I highly recommend Attorney Komie. In fact, I recently hired him again to represent me in a different matter. Thank you Stephen for being the best advocate for all your clients. I truly have been honored to be your client and friend.

No need to look any further! Komie is everything you need and so much more!
In December 2017 i hired Mr. Komie & Associates in the city of Chicago, Illinois to represent me in my case. In a time where I found myself in what was like a living nightmare, i found hope when i came across Mr. Komies services. Just days prior i had been released on bail facing a Class 1 felony, almost 12-15 years in Prison, in a state i didn't even live in! The first call was answered by the sweetest and most helpful receptionist Ms. Mary, who actually took the time to understand my situation and put me at ease letting me know everything would be ok. Upon short notice of my arrival into town, Mr. Komie was able to set up a consultation in which i was advised possible options. Immediately I knew Mr. Komie knew what he was doing, i left leaving his office that day with more faith and confidence than I could have imagined any person in my situation could possibly be in! Throughout 2018 miracles were performed by Mr. Komie and his team. No words can put together how I feel and the gratitude i have for this man. I started off 2019 with the ability to have my life back, to have the blessing & opportunity of another chance. Mr. Komie went above and beyond for me. In January we closed my case on a deferred Judgment, only needing to serve 2 years of probation back home in California : ) Every penny was worth it. With Mr. Komie and his team i can assure you are in excellent hands, not only did he provide extraordinary services, but he shows he genuinely cares for his clients. He is a man of great value, time and time again exceeding my expectations, and making me feel so blessed to have made the choice of having the great Mr. Komie representing me. If you've gotten yourself into a situation, whether drug related, divorce etc...save yourself the stress, don't put your future at risk and give Mr. Komie a call. You won't regret it. Thank you Mr. Steven Komie for everything you did for me, I thank the lord for having you placed in my path, thank you for the amazing conversations, the continuous knowledge, and thank you for all the tips on the beautiful city of Chicago, you definitely helped it grow on me! Thanks for making my journey a smooth one!! XO Cali

Winning Comfort!
Several years ago, I learned federal labor agents were looking to talk to me about embezzlement of union funds. I asked my son what should I do? He said get the best damn federal lawyer you can get your hands on. I called Stephen Komie. His staff immediately took me in and made me feel at home. He coached me on how not to leave society. He took me for an interview with federal agents where he took control of the room. He won over the Department of Labor agent and coached me into a one-count Information with probation eligible. I knew he had communicated well with the judge when he asked for permission for me to travel to Indiana to buy my gas. He understood the culture of the south side of Chicago and the judge. He guided my every step through the Probation Department. He talked the probation officer out of recommending a harsh sentence. His performance at my sentencing hearing was masterful. He persuaded the judge to give me a probationary sentence despite the government's demands for two years in the penitentiary. He even convinced the judge that I should keep my job and pension while donating 200 hours of community service divided between Operation Push and the Pacific Garden Mission. He dominated the room. He had the judge giggling during the sentencing hearing which gave me great comfort knowing that the case was going in the right direction. He even was able to describe my life and times in a way which caused tears to come to my eyes knowing that he really had my best interest at heart. If the feds are going to fry you up, you better get Mr. Komie to turn off the fryolator. I can't say enough of Mr. Komie walking me through what was clearly uncharted territory. 23 Psalm Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for thou art with me. It was the earthly feeling of that. As I walked this journey to McGee's office to the U.S. Attorney's office and two trips into federal court there was a comfort there. There is no other way for me to describe it as a comfort. Thank you, Mr. Komie.

DUI Case
I was facing a potential felony conviction for a DUI. I spoke with Mr. Komie and during this first meeting I could sense Mr. Komie knew what he was doing and immediately made me feel comfortable with what he needed to do with my case. He and his associates were extremely through and diligent with my case and absolute know the ins and outs of the DUI laws and the court system. Ultimately, my felony case was dropped and it was all due to the great work of Mr. Komie, his associate Mr. Anderson and the other fantastic people of his firm. I could not be more please.

Just a slap on the wrist...
Do not know where to begin. I was going to school in Chicago when I got caught with a reputable amount of cannabis. Enough to where the DA wanted to charge me 3 felonies and call it a "controlled substance" instead of cannabis.... I was in cook county for more or less than a week or so and when I got out I had no clue what direction to go in. This is when one of my family members told me to contact Mr. Komie. I called him and immediately he told me to get in his office. Next thing I knew I was on the blue L train, headed to his office on Lasalle. He met me at the door and had me in his office no more than 90 seconds of checking in with his secretary, Mary. He sat me down and heard me out, talked with me about my case and made me feel at ease about my situation. He is super professional but I could also tell he reall cared about his clients. His associate Mr. Anderson played a huge roll in my case as well and has the same passion to get the best for his clients. I had a lot going on with me in the 3 years that we fought this case and they both were very supportive through it all. Back to the lawyering though, to make a long story short, I was looking at having 3 felonies, 4 years felony probation, 120 hours community service, and a rediculous amount of fines and fees. Not to mention my felonies were going to stay with me my ENTIRE life! I ended up getting out of the pickle with just 2 years informal probation, a way smaller amount of fines, and just an arrest (not a conviction!) on my record which I can get rid of in 5 years (slap on the wrist)! I was going to have to do drug counseling but somehow they were able to work their magic on getting me out of that too! My final day in court was like Christmas for me! I definitely recommend Mr. Komie and his associate Mr. Anderson to anyone in a legal bind in Illinois. Mr. Komie and as well as Mr. Anderson both demand a lot of respect in the court room and it definitely shows. They are out to win and that is clearly what they do. So if it comes time to pick a lawyer to fight for you life, I definitely recommend Komie and Associates.

Exceptional Competantcy and Quality.
I am a licensed professional in Illinois. I had a client harass and attempt to slander my name with my professional board. I hired Mr. Komie as a referral from another attorney. He works with integrity and precision. He is a very competent attorney that is compassionate as well. Mr. Komie has been honest and upfront throughout the process. Not only has he been successful but, has exceeded my expectations in this matter. I would highly recommend him.

Best lawyer money can buy!
Its hard for me to fully descriptor how incredible Stephen is. He is a gentlemen, top shelf lawyer and a stud. I was wrapped into a Fed case for 800 kilos of marijuana and he saved me. I had a different lawyer who assured me minimum 2 years in prison and no return of seized assets. I fired her. Stephen got me unsupervised probation with work release to Tonga and my property back. You can not put a price on his services and he is not just my lawyer but my friend. My advise is if your in a jam and need a lawyer, hire Stephen! When it comes to you freedom don't spare the expense, you get what you pay for.
