Mitchell Blake Gordon

Mitchell B. Gordon works extensively in the areas of family and matrimonial law. He has significant experience dealing specifically with both parenting related and financial litigation.

In 2009 Mr. Gordon was recognized as one of 40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch by the publishers of Chicago Lawyer Magazine. Based on the recommendations of judges and other colleagues, Mitchell was selected from among approximately 20,000 lawyers in Illinois under the age of 40 for this honor.

Mr. Gordon's litigation practice has been very "hands-on" throughout his career, which has afforded him exposure to a wide array of legal issues. He approaches his cases with the goal of problem solving through the understanding that each client has a unique set of circumstances. Working closely with his clients throughout the legal process, he knows how to find reasonable and practical solutions. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Gordon also has significant experience conducting settlement conferences, drafting Marital Settlement Agreements, drafting Parenting Agreements, drafting Pre-Nuptial Agreements and drafting Post-Nuptial Agreements. Furthermore, he is a skilled Appellate Advocate. Mr. Gordon's commitment to excellence was recognized in 2008, 2009 and 2010 by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine when he was named a "Rising Star". This accolade is issued only after a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by Super Lawyers' attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area and a good-standing and disciplinary check. Mitchell also co-hosts the popular public access television show "Let's Talk Justice!" on Chicago's CAN-TV Network. On the show, Gordon discusses myriad of legal topics of public concern while answering live telephone calls. Mitchell is well respected for his time-consuming involvement with his weekly television show. Mitchell has also been featured on the Chicago radio show , Vocalo.

Mr. Gordon joined Pasulka & Associates, P.C. as an associate in 2003. Prior to that he worked as an associate attorney concentrating in family law starting in 2001, and had worked as a clerk during law school in law firms concentrating in family law. Mr. Gordon received his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent in 2001 and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa in 1997.
