Friendly. Keeps you updated. Great result.

I called Mr. Theisen after receiving a letter from his office. It indicated that Cook county was holding funds that now through inheritance were my property. The funds were payment for land taken by eminent domain. I asked him about the source of the funds as well as the process to get them from th...e county. He was happy to spend time to explain what the plan was and anything like documents I needed to submit. My mom died over seas and I endeavored to get a death certificate and a translation for the Court. Mr. Theisen found an obituary in Chicago news paper that was an acceptable alternative. He gave me an approximate time line for the work and he was correct. It was a good outcome with no snags. Well worth the fee.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
