Helpful and knowledgable
Matt Caruso came highly recommended to us, and we in turn would recommend him, without reservation, to anyone dealing with inheritance issues. We were treated with unflagging courtesy. Our concerns were carefully noted, and we were given clear explanations that didn’t downplay negatives or exaggerate positives. Matt and his colleagues answered all our questions and concerns. We appreciated Matt's integrity, as well as his knowledge and experience, and are grateful for all the work Matt and company did resolving our case.

Clent Friendly & Knowlegable
Matt is very good at accurately portraying the litigation process both from probable outcome and time frame to accomplish; so that as a client I can make a sensible business decision on how to proceed. Once we decide how to proceed Matt and his team are very thorough and and committed to achieving the anticipated result.

Master Of Negotiations
There are no words to express how grateful I am to have had the pleasure of working with Matt Caruso. He was truly a savior in my son's father's estate case. Prior to Matt Caruso's appointment as Special Administrator by the DuPage County Court, we were faced with constant road blocks and delays. After his appointment, he immediately began to work on getting to the true facts of the case and a quest for justice. He worked tirelessly through hundreds of documents, interviewing both parties involved in our case to create a fair settlement. Yet, through this all, he never lost site of the human aspect of this case and compassion. My son and I will be forever grateful to him. Because of him, my son has a bright future ahead of him and most importantly, his late father's wishes were fulfilled.

Knowledgable, Trustworthy, Integrity
The multiple choice answers below are a little misleading. I hired this lawyer in 2010 and it took until 2014 to resolve the case which was not this law firm's fault that it took that long. I only had this one law firm involved in this case but I have had numerous cases involving lawyers over the years (I am in my fifties). My case involving this lawyer was one where I was given little choice but to take family members to court or allow a significant injustice to occur. After discussing the matter with numerous lawyers and doing everything I felt was possible to avoid filing a court case I hire this law firm. They were readily available to me anytime I had questions. They had a solid strategy which, after all was done and said, leaves me with the belief that it was the best approach to dealing with the problem. Lawyers are expensive and this law firm is solidly within the norm as far as their rates but as lawyers go, you probably won't do better in the area that I hired them in. I would have happily preferred to avoid having to hire a lawyer to deal with this problem and as well, to have avoided the expense of the legal fees involved. But feeling I had little option I am quite satisfied with the quality of service that I obtained for the money that was spent. This law firm knows their stuff and their rates are reasonable, you won't be sorry that you had them on your side. At least that is my feeling now that my case has been resolved.

"Matt has been my supervisor and boss since January of 2008. Matt has taught me virtually everything I know about this profession. The first and most important lesson is that: "We represent our clients. We don't represent the opposing attorney, or someone else's interest." I am happy to work for Matt, and consider him an excellent attorney."
Guardianship Attorney | Jun 26
Relationship: Worked together on matter
"I have known and worked with Matt for over two decades on a number of complex matters. I give Matt the highest endorsement. He solves complex issues, and fights for his clients. Matt is also a skilled listener and mediator who can bring two fractious sides together in hotly contested estate litigation when he is appointed to act as the executor. Matt did exactly that in a contested estate matter I worked on earning the respect and trust of both war sides thus achieving a fair settlement. Matt's great expertise in estate and trust matters make him the go to attorney in those cases in DuPage County."
Guardianship Attorney | Jun 20
Relationship: Worked together on matter
"Matt is a brilliant and tenacious trial lawyer. He is also a very skilled peace maker and mediator. In a very complex contested estate matter, Matt played all of these roles as the Court appointed Special Administrator. He earned all of the warring sides trust and respect and when needed wrote well thought out and researched briefs and examined witnesses with great skill. Absent Matt's many faceted skills this case was resolved. I have the greatest respect for Matt. He is one of the best lawyers I have worked with over my 30 year practice. I strongly endorse him."
