Meredith Turner-Woolley is an associate with Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym, Ltd. She concentrates her practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense and family law. She joined the firm in 2012.
Meredith’s work defending physicians, nurses, and hospitals involves an array of complex medical malpractice matters. This includes a strong focus on the defense of birth trauma and wrongful death cases. Her background in crisis intervention, psychology and sociology helps her understand the stresses faced by medical providers who are doing their best to provide patient care, and the struggles faced by families coping with injury or loss. This gives her a unique advantage in defending these challenging cases.
Meredith graduated cum laude from The John Marshall Law School. During law school, she strengthened her skills in family law through her work as a family law intern with Cabrini Green Legal Aid and as an extern with the Honorable Judge Thomas J. Kelley in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Before beginning her legal career, Meredith worked primarily as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence. In this capacity, she provided crisis intervention to families, as well as community prevention and support programs focused on family violence. She has successfully completed the Illinois 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training as well as the Illinois Victim Assistance Academy.

Excellent attorney
Meredith was very professional and helpful. She was very understanding of me even though I am from outside the country and have an accent. She looked out for my best interest and I trust her. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a divorce lawyer.
"Ms. Turner-Woolley is very knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. A great combination for any attorney, but especially one managing your family law case."
