Joseph L. Rourke Jr.

Joseph L. Rourke, an associate at Clifford Law Offices, has a wealth of trial experience, particularly in the area of medical malpractice. Joe has worked on both side of the aisle - representing plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and wrongful death cases. He brings this in-depth perspective to Clifford Law Offices, understanding what is needed for a successful and just outcome. 

Having graduated from John Marshall Law School, Joe went to work for a plaintiff's firm in Chicago's south suburbs, representing those injured in vehicular collisions and also those involved in criminal matters. He then went to work for a Chicago defense firm, gaining invaluable experience and insight into the strategy and approach from that side of the aisle. He handled several complex multi-million-dollar, multi-party medical malpractice cases, and already has a medical malpractice caseload at Clifford Law Offices where he is familiar with the clients' needs, medical terms and prognoses - all important factors in determining liability and damages in these cases.

Joe received his undergraduate degree from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, where he majored in Economics and minored in Legal Studies, knowing he would go on to law school. As a young lawyer, already he has been recognized for his excellence in the profession by his peers in being named an Emerging Lawyer by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company. Fewer than two percent of all lawyers licensed to practice in Illinois aged 40 or younger are named to this list.
