Excellent lawyer

After trying to handle my alimony issue myself and losing, John Kay took it all the way to the appellate court and won. Very knowledgeable and personable Along with his excellent law firm and knowledgeable staff, I would not hire anyone else.

Hard working, very dependable

John helped me with my custody/child support order. He was there every step of the way. He explained everything to me to make sure I understood what everything meant and answered any questions I had. He was always a phone call away whenever I needed anything. Highly recommend!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I can't say enough good things about John Kay. I was on the opposite side of divorce cases from John over a number of years. When I was battling John in a case, I knew I had to be at my best. He is tough, thorough, relentless, creative, and very effective. I also found him to be someone you can trust, and that goes a long way with Judges. I recommend John highly for anyone needing a hard-nosed divorce attorney who will be attentive to client needs and treat them fairly."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
