Jean M. M. Huang

Jean has worked at The Law Offices of Stuart B. Handelman, P.C. - with attorneys Stuart B. Handelman & Kelly Smith - for over 20 years. The law firm is a boutique, 3-attorney, experienced team that specializes in creating effective options & solutions (both bankruptcy & non-bankruptcy) for people dealing with debt. 

Jean, together with her colleagues Stuart & Kelly, have helped thousands of people through stressful, financial situations - to achieve effective debt relief. 

Jean is proud of the environment that she and her colleagues have created - one that provides a personal approach, in a no-pressure, no-judgement atmosphere.

Jean concentrates primarily on Chapter 13 cases, working with clients during the life of the Chapter 13 cases, and representing clients at 341 meetings and in Bankruptcy Court.

In terms of her education & volunteer work:  Jean obtained her undergraduate degree, a B.A. in Political Science, from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She obtained her J.D. degree from Loyola University Chicago, School of Law in 1998.

Jean has also volunteered at the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, the Abuse and Neglect Division at Cook County Department of Children and Family Services, and at Pro Bono Advocates, a clinic that obtains emergency orders of protection for victims of domestic violence.
