About me

I'm a trial lawyer and a Chicago resident. I am happily married with two children. In 1985 I became a partner with my father, Zedrick Braden, Jr.. As a third generation lawyer I take great pride in being able to follow in the footsteps of my late grandfather and father.  My grandfather, Zedrick Braden, Sr., began practicing law in Chicago in 1925 in the Benga Building at 34th and State which is the present site of the Illinois Institute of Technology. Black lawyers at that time could not have offices downtown. 30 years later, in 1955, my father joined my grandfather as a partner in the law firm of Braden Hall Barnes and Moss in the Chicago Loop. My wife, only brother, uncle (a retired judge), and several other cousins are also lawyers.  My family was featured in an article published in American Bar Association Journal in 1987.

I really enjoy my work because it makes it possible for me to help so many people in our community.
