Sarah D. Zigulich is the Founding Member and Principal of SDZ Law, LLC. She restricts her practice exclusively to the area of family law, including traditional contested litigation, appeals, negotiation, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and collaborative law.
Prior to founding the firm, Sarah established herself as an associate attorney at a large Chicago family law firm. She counsels clients in all areas of matrimonial and parentage law, including divorce, child custody (allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time), spousal support (maintenance or alimony), child support, child relocation, debt and asset distribution, pension division, orders of protection, prenuptial, postnuptial and cohabitation agreements, and numerous other financial and emotional decisions surrounding family law litigation, negotiation, and mediation. Sarah has extensive experience guiding clients through high-conflict parenting relationships, while her unique background gives her a foundation of unparalleled knowledge in handling complicated financial issues related to high-net-worth individuals, including business valuations, preserving non-marital assets, tracing concealed accounts, and analyzing complex compensation benefits.
It is vital to Sarah that her clients have the tools and information to make impactful decisions during their litigation. She takes the time to specifically discuss the process, advantageous strategies, and potential outcomes with her clients. She has been consistently recognized by her peers in the field, including being selected as a 2019 Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a 2019 Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers, receiving the award of the Top 40 Under 40 by The National Advocates in 2017, and being granted the “Clients’ Choice Award” by Avvo in 2015.
Sarah is the Co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Alliance for Women Committee and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois Bar Association. She earned her law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.
