I chose John after interviewing more than a half dozen attorneys. I contacted John in his office and left a message on New Year’s Day. He returned my call the same day. I said it is New Year’s and I didn’t expect a call back until Monday or Tuesday after the holiday. John stated he wanted to make sur...e it wasn’t an emergency. I was impressed from the first phone call and throughout the span of time it took to complete my divorce. John leads with so much wisdom, confidence, professionalism, knowledge, empathy and care. He educated me through the process and truly held my hand through the most difficult time of my life. I can’t say enough good things about my positive experience during a very tumultuous time for me. I knew with John as my attorney by my side I was right where I was supposed to be and everything would be OK. I would refer him to anyone looking for a divorce attorney. I asked him multiple times if this is what he would suggest if he were representing his sister and asked him to handle my divorce as though I was his little sister. John did and I knew he had my best interest at heart as I knew I was clearly not wired for a divorce and needed the best advice throughout the process and he gave it to me. I felt empowered to go the distance and I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I’m forever grateful to this man and his team.

If you're about to go through a divorce or custody litigation, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANY OTHER ATTORNEY. Let me repeat this: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANY OTHER ATTORNEY. I was referred to John at the beginning of my litigation and due to his retainer requirements, I used other attorneys (2 ...to be exact) because their retainer was "cheaper." After thousands paid to the other attorneys and ultimately a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, I now know my initial decision was a mistake. After my second attorney, I had to become my own "attorney" and legal advocate by printing out the 750 ILCS 5/505 statute to study it in depth. Once litigation became too much (self-employed and needed to focus on business rather than typing motions, replying to motions, filing motions, etc.) and my stress level was through the roof (to the point of exhaustion and anxiety ridden), I called John again. As I recited sections of the 750 ILCS 5/505 that applied to my case, he would finish my sentence with the remaining language of the section I was referring to. My other attorney's did not adhere to the statute at all during my litigation, kept "kicking the can down the road," and filed non-legal based motions/responses. The 750 ILCS 5/505 statute should be your "bible" if you're a family law attorney and it amazes me how neither of my previous attorneys adhered to the statute. After that conversation, I knew I had to "beg, borrow, or steal" to get his retainer (I should also mention his hourly is very reasonable!). Once I hired John, the Judge had a different tone, the GAL had a different tone, and the opposing counsel had a different tone. In fact, everything was finalized within one month of hiring John. I can't say enough good stuff about John. John, if you read this review, please know I'm forever grateful for your services and the emotional & mental relief you brought to my life. through my mess of a divorce my first lawyer really did nothing for me in 2 years time I hired john in March of 2004 and had represented me since we are at the very end today he follows through he will lay fact sometimes not what you want to here but you NEVER meet a more honest and great man in th...e end i was able to get order for the children to reside with me He has not only saved my life but he has saved my family to.
