She was a mediator in our child custody proceedings. She has a law degree so I figured she would be better than just a psych degreed mediator. She did not know the law and instead kept us in mediation for 8 months with no written agreement at the end. All she did was listen to my ex's sob story and make him feel sorry for himself. She was unprofessional and more of a psych that wanted us to keep going without any resolution because resolution stops the checks from coming in. From this and another dealing with a psych I can say that I think most psychs do not want to make anyone better because that does not pay the bills. Every mediation session was more a therapy session for my ex, where I had to leave work and listen to the narcissistic ex talk and talk about feelings. I finally said I will no longer pay for this. I suggest just going to court where the law is understood. Wasting money on supposed mediation with Gail Petrich ended up being more therapy for my ex than any kind of mediation.

Gail is great. With her background in law and psychology she is a true asset in many of my divorce cases. Gail is great with families as a therapist but also as a true advocate. Gail is also great as a Collaborative Professional and is one of my top choices when it comes to a Parenting Specialist. I highly endorse Gail.
