Worst Lawyer Ever (Don't waste your money!!)

Dan was my lawyer when I purchased my home and I've got to say - wow, was it a terrible experience! He charged $450 and failed to even properly read the paperwork required for my association (rules, HOA information, etc.) During the negotiation process at signing for some issues with the home tha...t weren't previously noted, he pretty much didn't even try and told me there was nothing he'd be able to do. By far the most passive, soft-spoken lawyer I've ever seen. And when I contacted him after the signing process about why he had initially lied and told me he ready the paperwork for the association, he barked and got extremely defensive. Over the phone, he promised he'd look through something and get back to me and never did. It's a bummer since I liked my real estate agent who recommended I use Dan as my lawyer, but that was definitely a mistake. Hands down the worst $450 I've ever lost. I definitely second the other review who said Dan has a huge ego. The guy got extremely upset over the littlest things.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
