I was ticketed for failure to leave information after an auto collision with an unoccupied vehicle. Although my driving record is good, I did have a prior conviction for the same charge, years earlier. Even though I received court supervision in that instance, I was concerned that this repeat offen...se would elicit much less empathy from the judge and prosecutor. Mr. Gilmartin got in touch promptly and spoke to me at length about what to expect. He was very polite, knowledgeable and he addressed all of my concerns directly and thoroughly. It was very reassuring. Immediately, I felt tremendously relieved and much more confident facing this charge. I felt as though I truly had an ally. During our in-person consultation, prior to the court date, I was very impressed at how personable and professional Mr. Gilmartin was. When I left the meeting, I almost skipped to my car. The actual court appearance came off as anti-climactic. He spoke to the prosecutor for no more than two minutes and returned with an offer. I had to show up at a later date with some, any, evidence that I had made an effort to repair the damage I had caused. In this case, it was simply a letter from my insurance company that a claim had been filed. Piece of cake. We were out of the court room hardly as soon as I'd sat down. When I returned a few weeks later with the form, I didn't even expect Mr. Gilmartin to be there. It didn't seem like his presence was required but there he was. We were called up before the judge, very shortly after proceedings began, and were up there for, no joke, five seconds. This is exactly what the judge said: "Your lawyer did a great job. Case dismissed." And that was all he said. I did manage to wait until I got to my car before I did a 30 second fist pump but that was it! Case dismissed! I almost never get into trouble but things happen sometimes. I have his number memorized anyway. Michael Gilmartin is MY lawyer!

When we needed face to face communication he was easily accessible. I am definitely glad that I was able... to meet him. I am always referring him to others.
