Biography
Attorney Mervate Mohammad combines a rigorous academic background with hands-on experience to serve her clients’ legal needs. After graduating Cum Laude and with Honors from Loyola University of Chicago, she earned her J.D. at John Marshall Law School. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Northern District of Illinois federal court, and is a certified mediator through Northwestern University. Over the years, Mervate has worked at various law firms, concentrating on family and corporate law, and she manages cases from divorce and custody to child support and protective orders. A fluent Arabic speaker and writer, she is known for her client-centered approach and zealous advocacy. Beyond her practice, Mervate teaches Family Law for Paralegals as an adjunct professor at Moraine Valley Community College and participates actively in multiple bar associations. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, gardening, and cherishing moments with family and friends.
