My son found himself in some legal trouble. I was referred to Mr. Allen by a family member. He said “Attorney Allen will take care of you”. I was a nervous wreck thinking my 18yo son would be swallowed up by the criminal justice system due to his lapse of judgement. Mr. Allen was communicative via ph...one, text, and email. His assistant emailed and called to remind us of every court date. He was upfront and honest about the potential outcome. Mr. Allen is very familiar with Order of Protection cases in Cook County. These can be tricky because any person can spitefully go to court and file (and be granted) an order of protection against you, w/o any evidence. Instead of attempting to represent myself, I hired Mr. Allen who was able to navi...gate the Cook County Circuit Court system, address the person who falsely accused me, and ultimately remained professional and neutral during a stressful time for me. The case was dismissed, w/o every having a hearing....which saved me a lot of time. I learned quite a bit from Mr. Allen!

Despite my issue having started just prior to COVID, Shay stuck with me for the nearly 3 years it took to resolve my case with a not guilty verdict. He did all this without adding fees for the many additional appearances that were required due to COVID delays. The trial was handled very professiona...lly and had the desired outcome.
