Knowledgeable

A very knowledgeable, honest, and direct in a polite way. I was seeking to employ him on the probate of my mothers estate. His honest advice was to not hire him because the will and estate were airtight. How honest of him to pass up an easy case to earn money But he put me and my interests before hi...s, how rare!!!

You couldn't ask for a better attorney, Jeff is one of a kind

Jeff Lewis has helped me out with at least two businesses and anything I've needed personally. Always friendly, responsive and professional. I have one attorneys phone number in my cell phone and it's Jeff's number, he's the only one I'd call.

Steer Clear of this attorney

I retained Jeffrey Lewis for a foreclosure real estate transaction. I had no experience in these matters so I relied on him to inform me of my financial responsibilities regarding the transaction. I was shocked when I received a delinquent tax bill for an entire year of property taxes in which I did... not own the property, and found out I was responsible for it. He NEVER informed me that this would be my responsibility and that foreclosures are not prorated like a regular property sale. Now I will have another partial year to pay for also. All, in all, approx. $7,000. If I retain and pay an attorney for their expertise, I would expect that's what I would get. That was definitely not the case with this attorney. He also did not return calls in a timely manner, if at all.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
