Mr. Lewis prefers to balance his practice with both litigation and transactional work. The largest segment of his practice involves elder law matters including estate planning, probate, guardianship, and special needs planning. He particularly enjoys the challenge presented by nontraditional issues that are becoming increasingly prevalent in modern culture. These include contested guardianships and mental health law; estate planning for complex family structures (e.g., blended families, special needs beneficiaries, multi-generational businesses, etc.); and, ownership, sale, or management of real property among related or unrelated owners. Mr. Lewis also represents a variety of clients in litigation of landlord/tenant, real property, debtor/creditor, personal injury, and other contested matters. His transactional practice is rounded out with matters involving real estate, small businesses, and contracts.
