Robert F. Kramer

I consulted with Kramer once on the phone and once in person. Both were unscheduled. He appeared to be generous with his time. After the in person consult, I sent him via email a proposed letter for review and further discussion as to whether it could be used in my situation. Kramer explained he woul...d be on trial for the next few days, and then on vacation.This was on 1/13/26. He said he would call me when he returned. Several weeks went by with no contact back. I then sent him another email reminder of my visit and asking for a “ next steps” update. Again, several weeks went by without a response from Kramer. So I called his office. He supposedly wasn’t there but I spoke to one of his assistants. I explained the situation, and asked for some kind of response either way, further explaining that there would be no hard feelings if Kramer decided he didn’t want to work with me. Again, no response and it is March 2,2026 that I’m writing this. Kramer’s lack of response and ghosting is highly unprofessional and may violate certain ethical standards and rules. I also am a practicing lawyer for 38 years and in all that time I have never left a potential client hanging in the lurch and ghosted. His lack of responsiveness caused me stress and added delay in attending to my matter. I’ve been around long enough and have represented enough people to have seen and heard about just about every way other lawyers reject a case without telling the truth about why. But the absolute cut-you-off-leave-you-in-the-lurch -until -you-realize-you’ve-been-ditched routine is relatively rare and probably one of the coldest. I would avoid this guy - Maybe my case was too hard for him. Maybe too much work. Who knows. But my money is as green as anyone’s . Clients deserve to know where they stand at all times. Whether they’re still in the consultation stage or beyond. I hadn’t paid him anything but he didn’t ask for any payment. That clearly says that he never intended to take my case. He told me to send him the proposed paperwork for his review. I should’ve known that when he never asked for any money before starting work, he was not serious. Avoid Kramer for the reasons I’ve stated. If he isn’t forthcoming about whether or not he will represent you and will leave you hanging until you “ die on the vine,” you have to wonder in what other ways will he act unprofessionally….

I worked with Robert Kramer on the closing of my house a couple of years ago. I was very pleased with how thorough he was at catching any error in the contract. It made for a long day at closing, however, I knew upon signing contracts that was signing things correctly. I also recently used Robert and... his team to assist with a contractor dispute. Our case went through arbitration and I felt wonderful knowing that I was in good hands. I sent large amount of documents to him that he organized and reviewed line by line. He was in tune with each and every detail of the case without missing a beat! I felt like he could have easily represented me without me even being there! If you're looking for someone who is personable, attentive to detail, and will go the extra mile, than Robert is your guy!

Robert Kramer was our real estate attorney both on the buying and selling end of our homes twice in the last seven years. He absolutely shows the experience that he has in the real estate Arena with his knowledge base and professionalism. He was able to get us the best deal and even a $10,000 credit ...for our roof which we were not expecting. It was a difficult task but he did it with ease. We would highly recommend Robert Kramer and, in fact, we have hired him to draw up our will next. Although we don't plan to move anytime soon, we hope, Robert Kramer is the best in the business and we arw thrilled that he has expandes to a Lombard location as that us cloawr to our house. Thank you for your hard work and thank you for getting us the best we could possibly get for our real estate transaction experience.
