Lynn A. Cohen

Ms Cohen represented us in a very messy child custody case. She was always professional. She did not always think what we wanted was feasible and she let us know that in a very straightforward manner. While we didn't always like hearing what she had to say, she was right on the money. She was und...erstanding but firm. She really worked long hard hours on our behalf. Although we have no desire to go to court again, if we had to, she would be our attorney of choice.

I was not pleased with the level of service received by Ms. Cohen. I found her to be dishonest. As part of the divorce process in my county, a transcript of the prove-up must be filed in court. I asked if I could file them myself, since I work right across the street. Ms. Cohen told me no, only at...torneys could file the transcripts and clerks would only accept checks from attorneys. (Her filing would mean her charging me for her time and trip into the city.) I called the court to verify and they told me that was incorrect and people file transcripts all the time themselves. I filed the transcript myself, saved myself several hundred bucks and fired Ms. Cohen.
