Unsatisfactory Condo Association lawyer

Paul was newly hired legal counsel by my myself and the other members of my condo association. We then had (I am finding out) a common dispute among myself and my upstairs neighbor. Both owner were complaining about the noise they were hearing at night from the other owner's apartment. Myself, cl...ear conversation and sexual activity. He music from my Amazon echo. As it turned out the neighbor above me started complaining to our board long before I did. So I was sent a very rude and inaccurate cease and desist order letter from Mr Ochmanek regarding a noise issue with my upstairs neighbor (followed by very rude email responses when I contacted him via email). The letter was filled with inaccurate and un-researched information regarding the situation. It was a standard letter (not written for a particular specific situation) and thus was filled with basic outright inaccuracies. My frustration is he did absolutely no verification nor research on the issue. And did not customized his letter to fit this particular situation. A copy letter was not even sent to our condo association president. Ironically, as it turns out it was actually the upstairs neighbor that was at fault for not having proper flooring to ensure sound control. Which she now has to pay for to fix (she had hollow hardwood floors). My condo assoc president apologized for the letter and promised to reimburse all condo member the $2000 our dealings regarding the floor issue cost our association. I can understand a condo association president making this mistake, but not someone with supposed legal experience in this area. So we decided to terminated Mr Ochmanek as our condo association lawyer, and thanks to advice from Sound Proofing Chicago, the upper level unit owner had to get and pay for new floors.
