Diane Brazen Gordon

Diane Brazen Gordon received her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, and her law degree from the University of Iowa, College of Law.  She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Illinois.  She was a law clerk for the Honorable Gerald D. Fines, United States Bankruptcy Judge, Central District of Illinois, and has been practicing primarily in the area of bankruptcy law for over twenty-five years. 

Diane served as Chair of the Bankruptcy Committee, ABA Section of Family Law.  She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lake County Bar Foundation, a board member of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County, and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association, and the Federal Trial Bar of the Northern District of Illinois.  She is also a member of American Bankruptcy Institute, The National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and The National Association of Consumer Advocates.  

Ms. Gordon has spoken at many professional conferences on the topic of bankruptcy, including national conferences for the American Bar Association Section of Family Law.  Several of her articles have been published, including Featured Article: Marital Debt Disputes in Chapter 13: Is the Debt a DSO?; American Bankruptcy Institute Journal, Volume XXXIII, No. 3, March 2014 (reprinted in Best of ABI 2014).

 Diane is an adjunct faculty member at a local community college, teaching bankruptcy law in a paralegal studies program.  Diane is also Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification.*
