I was referred to Mr. Moran in 2018 by an attorney friend after a Cook County DUI arrest. With prior convictions on my record, I faced, and honestly deserved extremely serious, life-changing consequences including harsh fines, indefinite loss of driving privileges and incarceration. Based on my history, he urged me to end my relationship with alcohol, basically telling my that I simply can't drink again. As if I hadn't heard that before... After reviewing my case he told me that we definitely should not go to trial. We should promptly take necessary steps for recovery/treatment as well as complete everything that would be required by the courts. Then we would wait for the right timing to secure the most favorable plea deal that we could get, hopefully avoiding jail time. The case was recently settled after over 20 months of litigation, and the outcome far exceeded my wildest hopes. The charges were reduced, the fine was minimal and there was no incarceration or loss of driving privileges. Mr. Moran's expertise and patience in navigating my case through the court system was exceptional. And to top it off, after at least a dozen court appearances, he never charged me anything beyond what he told me it would cost at the very beginning. Mr. Moran's representation has truly been a blessing in my life. His assistant Lauren was also a pleasure to work with. She was always available for my many questions and her friendly demeanor definitely helped me to be a little more comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation.
