Found it extremely difficult to find a honest, reputable attorney while going through my divorce. I’m a single mom with a 2 yr old child who separated as a result of domestic abuse. Going forward knowing what I know now I would recommend to anyone in a similar position to invest in a good attorney like Michael from the start to get the best possible result for you. Michael was recommended through a friend and came in at the end of my divorce but worked extremely hard to get a good result for my son and I considering the time frame involved. He was respectful at all times which was important to me personally after going through an abusive marriage and I felt protected in court. Michael is a honorable, hardworking attorney who conducts himself in a professional manner at all times.

Personally not a bad guy. ...But I needed an attorney. He fell asleep in a deposition. He was unable handle the opposing counsel (who was getting paid half of his rate!) I enlisted Mr. Doman's services due to a pending divorce. I was in a desperate situation; my spouse held all of our assets. It was a messy situation, involving millions of dollars in the sale of my spouses business; me being a homemaker; two very young children; and a complex amount of financial ...material to analyze. During my divorce, I found Mr. Doman to be very passionate about his job as my attorney. He came highly recommended by my neighbor who actually was an opposing attorney in another case. She stated, "Mike is a no-nonsense, aggressive attorney"; truer words could not be spoken. Initially, my spouse hired her attorney and shortly after starting our divorce proceedings, she discovered that Mr. Doman was not going to allow me as his client to be dealt a less than fair deal. A few weeks later, my spouse changed lawyers for some "big name" firm in Chicago. Mr. Doman's commitment was unwavering and only became more aggressive in our stance. In the end, the "big name" did not hold a candle to Mr. Doman's thoroughness, aggressiveness, and commitment on my behalf as his client. I would highly recommend Mr. Doman to anyone who needs a serious fighter on their side.

I changed lawyers to Doman because I wanted a more "aggressive" attorney and it was a decision that almost ruined my case. When we went before the judge he couldn't cite the law to back up his argument and could not articulate a coherent case on my behalf. I loss on some major issues that day which w...as very damaging to my case. I immediately called my old lawyer and he took my case back. Doman then proceeded to charge me 11k for that ONE month of "work." It was a terrible decision to hire Doman on so many levels - I would avoid him and his firm like the plague.
