Post Decree

I hired Dwayne Douglas regarding a post decree matter. My ex-wife wanted to re-establish her alimony payment's which in my original Divorce Decree stated that the pay out period would be reviewable after 5 years and could extend beyond 5 years if the court deemed as necessary. Several other attorney'...s that I interviewed with told me I had no chance to win this case and suggested that I try and just settle the case. Dwayne came up with an out of the box strategy that swayed the judge to my favor and in doing so my ex-wife and her attorney elected to simply just dismiss the case all together.

Highly Recommend

I hired Dwayne to help finalize issues with non-payment of child support and division of assets after attempting to do so pro se. He was quick to understand the history of my divorce in relation to the issues at hand and move forward quickly on solutions that brought fair resolution. I was impresse...d with the professionalism he displayed in court and I appreciated his being conscientious of my need to keep legal costs in check. He enabled me to make informed, confident decisions by presenting the rationale and potential financial impact of different options for resolving issues. I wish he had been my divorce attorney due to his comprehensive, thoughtful, yet efficient approach and expediency in bringing resolution to my legal issues.

Client

I contacted Mr. Douglas to help me with obtaining a divorce. He was kind and professional throughout the process. I reconciled with my husband and stopped divorce proceedings. Mr. Douglas handled that as well. He was recommended to me by a friend who had used his services a few years ago. I would rec...ommend him if asked.

Simply the best!

Dwayne was there for me every step of the way during an emotional time. He meticulously walked me through the process and made me feel like I was his #1 priority, which was great! His knowledge and careful review of all documents/agreements created a smooth process and garnered the best outcome for m...y son and myself legally and financially. I recommend him to anyone going through this difficult and sometimes confusing process.

Excellent attorney

My case was a difficult one and without Dwayne's knowledge and expertise I would not have won my case. He was very efficient, professional and always kept me up to date on my case. I would HIGHLY recommend Dwayne to anyone looking for legal services.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
