Grandparents Seeking Custody

As grandparents seeking custody in the state of Illinois, we knew that our case would be a challenge for which ever lawyer we retained. Atty. Gilmore was actually referred to us by another Family Lawyer in the area. We were told “If I were to choose someone who would give me the biggest challenge, it... would be Carl Gilmore.” We felt we chose the right lawyer from the first time we met Carl and we were just as sure we hired the best lawyer we could have hired for our case, even though we did not get the decision we had hoped for. Atty. Gilmore was straightforward and honest with us from the beginning regarding our chances. He was readily available to answer questions and listen to concerns. If he was immediately unavailable when we made a call he always got to us within a very reasonable amount of time. He kept us informed and in the loop about everything that was going on with our case. He provided us with materials and resources to better understand where we stood within our states laws. We worked with Atty. Gilmore for almost 2 ½ years on our case and even though we did not receive the verdict we had hoped for; we are not disappointed with the results we are seeing as a result of his work. If we were in need of legal help in the future, we would not hesitate to call upon Atty. Gilmore.
