Lisa Marie Bernstein

In January 2012, I founded The Law Offices of Lisa Gagliano Bernstein, which is a sole practitioner firm specializing in the fields of real estate, estate planning, probate, and family law. I infuse each case I handle with a solid work ethic, advanced writing skills, practical application of the law and personal client service. My previous practice taught me to aggressively but strategically help clients navigate their way through the legal process and how to efficiently and promptly respond to my clients. My experience allows me to draft, argue, and respond to both simple and complex legal documents. I have a proven ability to produce under tight deadlines and due to my experience in many different fields of law, I'm well-equipped to manage a wide range of matters.

Real Estate:
-Represent clients in residential real estate purchases and sales, including review of contract of sale, negotiate inspection issues, determine compliance with contract, assist with lender requirements, evaluate evidence of title, perform title exam, clear title exceptions, and attend closing.

Estate Planning:
-Consult with clients to determine estate planning goals, draft living trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, and fund living trusts with real property, stocks, and life insurance.

Probate:
-Handle probate court matters, and prepare documents to open, administer and close probate estates.

Family Law:
-Draft and present divorce petitions and judgments, negotiate divorce settlements, and appear in court to argue motions to modify child support and other post-judgment divorce issues. I handle related and unrelated adoption actions by drafting and presenting petitions for adoption and judgment orders in court, acquiring consent from biological parent, and obtaining certificates of adoption.
