Biography
After graduating from Gonzaga School of Law, I was admitted to practice law in Washington State in October 2004. I practiced full-time in Washington until July 2023, when I moved to Custer, South Dakota. I handled legal matters in Estate Planning, Family Law, Bankruptcy, Municipal Law, and Real Estate. I was recognized as a "Rising Star, Super Lawyer" from 2011 to 2017, as well as recognized for my client satisfaction.
With over 20 years of experience, I will continue to offer legal representation and services in both South Dakota and Washington in the following areas:
-Estate Planning, Wills, Power of Attorney, Probate Mediation;
-Mediation: Family Law, Probate, Property/Contract Disputes;
-Family Law: Consulting, Mediation, and uncontested divorces; and

A little more about myself, I have three amazing children and enjoy my time with them, and exploring what South Dakota has to offer. I am currently a High School and Junior High teacher in Custer, teaching Social Studies. I enjoy traveling, new adventures, and supporting my sports teams (Go Seahawks and Mariners) as well as my college teams (Go Washington Huskies and Gonzaga Bulldogs). I also enjoy coaching and currently coach both basketball and volleyball for the junior high.

No response
Sent a message to this attorney requesting a follow up for an upcoming mediation - Indicating this was a time sensitive matter. Never bothered to respond. Out of common respect, even if you cannot or won't provide counsel have the common decency to reply to someone who reaches out to you for help.

Replied last June 29, 2023I apologize if you reached out and we did not return a call. Our system has been having issues lately and I am not seeing any missed messages from anyone pertaining to mediation. Any calls that I have received have been returned.

Excellent Timely Service
My husband and I used Brian to write our will. I asked if it could be done within six weeks. We met over Zoom once. Then after explaining our needs, we met in person to sign documents. It all happened within four weeks. It was a simple process and something that I'd been putting off for 14 years...

Slow and poor service
Overall poor and slow service. Took weeks to get back to my inquiries that were urgent. Didn't communicate as to who to contact in time of his absence---and assistant never returned my calls. Took several requests to get needed documents from him. I was expecting better service than I received.

Replied last February 01, 2012If this is the client I'm thinking of, I'm disappointed as the work was completed quickly and timely and with success. The documents requested were after the work was completed, simply wanting a copy for her files. I completely dispute this claim.
