Exclusively Personal Injury. For nearly thirty years, Nick A. Frentz, has worked exclusively in personal injury and wrongful death. He has been recognized as one of the leading personal injury lawyers in Minnesota, and together with the staff at Frentz & Frentz continues to strive for justice for all his clients.
Following graduation from Davis High School (California) in 1980, Nick attended Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984; went on to law school at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, where he was on the William Mitchell Law Review from 1986-1987, and received his law degree in 1987. He joined Frentz and Frentz in 1987 and became a partner in 1989.
Nick serves as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and served 10 years, the maximum allowed, on the Board of Governors of the Minnesota Association for Justice (MNAJ). Certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Civil Trial Specialist, Nick is admitted to practice in all Minnesota courts, Federal District Court and the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. He has earned the highest legal ability rating by Martindale-Hubbell—the AV rating, indicating “preeminent legal ability, experience, integrity and overall professional excellence.” According to Martindale-Hubbell, Nick was, at the time, the youngest AV rated lawyer in Mankato.
Due to his known reputation for excellence among his peers, Nick was offered an opportunity to join a group of elite Minnesota attorneys who then represented, pro-bono, the victims of the I-35 bridge collapse which resulted in a $38 million dollar settlement. In further recognition of his talent, Nick was selected the 2009-2010 “Member of the Year” by MNAJ to honor his outstanding contributions and effort on behalf of the organization.
Nick lives in North Mankato with his wife, Jill, and the couple are proud parents of four children. Nick is active with several Mankato area charities and schools, enjoys youth sports, and has served as a volunteer judge for Minnesota State High School League mock trial competitions since 1994.
