Divorce

The saying "The lawyers are the only ones getting rich is true. There were a lot of unnecessary emails between the lawyers. The meeting with the mediator was a waste of time. She said all the information wasn't collected so we should reschedule. Of course told that 5 hours in. They get paid hourly. ...I personally think they are all in on it to get more money. Cost me $1200 for nothing. I had a simple yes or no question to determine if I was to continue and the lawyer wouldn't answer unless I paid another $1500. She had already got $8000. She was nice enough until that point then rude to me. We decided to settle on our own and it worked out. I know not always possible. Alot of unnecessary stress.

The best family lawyer in town

he really is the best at what she does. If you give her all your facts up front she can get you where you need to be. I can’t say enough and how she is worth every penny. She is prompt with responses and does not waste your time on the phone. I really like that she tells it like it is because tha...t’s what it takes to understand what needs to be done on your end to keep your kids and to be headed in the right direction as a client. She vouched for me, kept immaculate records, and always had my back. I recommend her to everyone for family law/custody things on the moms pages for a reason. I wouldn’t have my kids and the custody schedule I’m on right now if I had chosen someone else.

I guess my expectations are "unreasonable" too

I hired Jessica for a child custody case and just about never saw my children again because of her incompetence. At times, it seemed she was working against us. Ever time the social worker would pull a just before court report out of his hat, she would tell us, he can do that. Well no he can't. Any ...lawyer knows you have to be given a specified number of days to review and refute claims, but Jessica went from one hearing to the next, bumbling, stumbling, totally unprepared. Once she was replaced, my new attorney was amazed at her incompetence and urged me to complain to the mn law association. It took a team of lawyers, 27 months, and close to a hundred thousand dollars to straighten out a simple child custody case she had so badly messed up.

Wade, I have looked through my records and I reviewed several Minnesota Statutes, or laws, so I can best address your concerns. I represented your wife and for a few months in 2011 in a CHIPS, or Child In Need of Protection or Services, case. Your juvenile protection case came to a point where I withdrew as your attorney and your wife and you were then court appointed new attorneys who represented the two of you until the completion of the case. In looking at MNCIS, the website for the Minnesota court system, I do not see a record for any custody or parenting time case under your name. Perhaps your custody or parenting time case was resolved without the need of Motion hearings or a court trial. I welcome your attorneys or you to contact me so I can understand which Statutes or court Rules you believe I did not follow or understand. We can certainly look at the court file, court transcripts and court Orders to see what your attorneys and you believe was not done properly. Going through this process would help address your concerns so we both understand the other’s perspective. Hopefully it gives you some closure.

Mark

I was referred to Jessica by a friend. Jessica did an amazing job with my very complicated divorce. I know she cared as much about the outcome as I did and completely had my best interests in mind. She did an amazing job managing my expectations and her communication skills were very impressive. ...She did a really great job making me feel comfortable in a very very uncomfortable life event. She was a true professional with experience second to none.

Jessica is Truly a Blessing!

Jessica Sterle is someone that you want in your corner! She is extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and honest. Divorce is never an easy task - but with Jessica's help it was a breeze! From the paperwork filing date to the divorce finalization date - it was only 58 days! Not only is Jessica e...xtremely knowledgeable, her assistant Mary is as well! Together they are a well oiled machine. Throughout the entire divorce process Jessica and Mary kept me informed. I always knew what was happening, what to expect, and possible outcomes. Jessica also called me the night before court to see how I was feeling (she knew I was feeling uneasy about our upcoming court date.) She goes above and beyond for her clients! I credit the positive outcome of my case to Jessica's hard work and passion. I would hire her again in a heartbeat! Not only is she a wonderful lawyer she a wonderful person. She has a heart of gold.
