My experience

Jerry has been superb in the handling of my case. I never could have gotten this far without his help. Even though my case has not settled, I have complete confidence in his abilities to get the best outcome possible. I would definitely recommend Jerry to anyone who needs the help of a competent ... attorney.

my confidence in Mr Sisk

In all respects, Mr Sisk was great to work with. He was a good listener, told me strait out what the law thought of my issues. The best part, for me was that he kept things moving along. I did not have call once to ask if we were still going forward. He used email to inform me of the cases progress.... Finally, when I did settle, I was VERY happy. Mr Sisk could not have been any better. I am trying to think of a negative point so you know this is real, but I can't find one. Things took a long time to resolve but that was all due to the State of Minnesota.

awesome work comp lawyer

Jerrry is so approachable and honest. I love his prompt response. He also takes time to listen. He is considerate of client needs, sensitive to the painful experience of victim/ injury. He also give realistic expectation and honest advise. He also works very hard.

Mr. Sisk, My Hero

Jerry Sisk was there when I needed him. He was recommended to me by a collegue. At the time I hired him, I was confused, felt like I was being taken advantage of and did not know who to ask for help. At my first meeting with Jerry, I instantly knew I was in very capable hands. He took over my case, g...ot me through some very hard times. I felt like I was his only client. He always answered my questions and returned my phone calls in a very timely manner. He took over and handled everything.

former client

I was a client of Jerry Sisk. He handled the worker's comp case. I saw him treating me in a condescending manner by holding what I did as a teenager against me even though in happened in another century. I was no longer that teenager but a responsible professional. Many times he referenced; "re...member, I know about such and such". I have the records, It was my choice to give him that material thinking I had nothing to hide from my own attorney but guess I made a mistake. I did not like how he handled the case. He discussed what I saw as personal items of the case in front of the other sides attorneys. It was very uncomfortable. Yes, we lost the case. If we had won; I was still uncomfortable with the situation & it was too late to switch attorneys.

I appreciate the feedback. I strive to provide professional and competent legal services to my clients and it is unfortunate that this client felt like s/he had an experience other than that. I encourage all of my clients to communicate with me throughout the representation and let me know their concerns along the way so we can discuss them and address any misunderstandings. I welcome emails, phone calls and in person meetings from clients to express their concerns or questions. I am fully aware that most times this is the client’s first and only workers’ compensation case. I wish this client would have done that in this case. While I have no independent recollection of this client and the situation described, I encourage all my clients to be forthright with regard to their past history as it oftentimes plays a significant role in the handling of their case. Their past history will come into play when a judge or defense lawyer assesses the client’s truthfulness or what their physical condition was before the work injury. All of these factors a competent workers compensation lawyer would want to know when assessing a case. Again it is unfortunate that it was interpreted by this client as an attack instead of an attempt to provide good legal representation.

Relationship: Supervised lawyer

"Jerry Sisk is an excellent workers’ compensation attorney. Bright, energetic and talented – he possesses the willingness to try cases when necessary- balanced by the discernment to resolve disputes amicably where appropriate. Guided by a good moral compass and possessing a solid set of technical skills, Jerry provides superb representation for his clients. Jerry possesses an able grasp of the intricacies of the complex Minnesota Workers’ Compensation law. Before coming to work at the Law Office of Thomas D. Mottaz, he spent 5 years working at the premier St. Paul insurance defense firm of Heacox and Hartman. There he learned the nuts and bolts of defending a case. This tutelage prepared him well for his position. In addition to providing zealous and capable representation to his clients, Jerry also presents at various seminars and he periodically writes for local legal publications. Jerry is also very active in the local bar association. As such, I highly recommend him."
