I hired Jennifer after 1.5 exasperating years with another attorney. My prior attorney was frustrating on several levels: she was impossible to reach with an unresponsive paralegal in between her and me, she never followed through on things we'd planned, I always felt like I was the last item on her ...priority list, she was out of the office for many sick days each month, she completed tasks on the final day they were due (never in advance), and she charged handsomely for every minute of time. It added a large layer of extra anxiety to my already complicated divorce. Hiring Jennifer completely changed things for me. Jennifer is prompt, responsive and true to her word. I don't have to communicate through a paralegal; rather, Jennifer herself responds to me. She makes time for me when I have questions, and I have her full attention at those times. When my case requires immediate action, Jennifer is ready. She is deeply knowledgeable about MN family law and court tendencies. My ex-husband's attorney is very skilled at glossing over things that don't benefit her client, and Jennifer sees right through it and doesn't allow it. Jennifer is calm and professional in every setting, never losing her cool, and always anticipating next steps. Her advice is sound. She hears my wants and needs and helps manage my expectations for all outcomes. From custody and child support issues, to complicated things like taxes and an out-of-state move, it has been clear to me throughout it all that Jennifer spends a lot of time thinking about my case and exploring every course of action fully. In addition to her careful, attentive, calm and responsive nature, Jennifer's billing system is such a relief. The flat-rate method is so much more reasonable. With my prior attorney's hourly billing, I was hesitant to simply request an update because I'd be billed for both her time and her paralegal's time, and often the answer would be something simple like, "Nothing yet"--but receiving that small answer would cost me $180 due to automatic 12-minute increment billing for a quick email from the paralegal to the attorney; a quick email from the attorney to the paralegal; and a quick email from the paralegal relaying the attorney's answer to me. Excruciating. With Jennifer's billing system, I can reach out as I need to without fear of incurring ridiculous costs. I'm not constantly running a calculator in my head and having to decide whether receiving an answer from my own attorney is worth the price. I am so relieved to have Jennifer's representation. Do yourself a favor and hire her immediately for your family law needs. She's excellent in all ways. A true advocate. Exactly what you hope for in the person representing you.

Jen did a great job making sure I understood all facets of my child custody case, I always felt like I could send her an email or give her a call and get my questions and concerns addressed immediately. Nobody looks forward to having legal issues but knowing I have an attorney like Jen on my side has... definitely been a blessing.

I highly recommend Jennifer if you're looking for a professional, honest and truthful lawyer. Very easy to talk talk too. She explained everything very clear and in a way that I can understand. She also takes the time to actually get to know you. Doesn't make you feel like you're paying some typical ...lawyer that just takes your money and send you on your way.
