These guys are the best, John Leunig gave me over an hour of his time on the phone from his house because I was out of state at the time. explaining to me what his staff had already found out about what went wrong in my CONVICTION. I fired my first Lawyer and Hired John Leunig. John and his associate... Mr. Justin Duffy also a terrific lawyer, advised me that the appeal will probably work its way up to the the State Supreme court. After Mr. Leunig and Mr. Duffy made the first appearance in front of the Court of Appeals the State conceded and my conviction was vacated. Everyone working there is knowledgeable, highly skilled and professional. if you need help hire this firm you won't regret it.

Mr Leunig took over my case after I fired my attorney for claiming to be a Super Lawyer then sold me short by plea bargaining even though I had a winning case, even the Judge told me so. John took over and made things right, he's a great attorney and a better man. I would always have him represent me....

My family, like many, needed unplanned legal representation for my son in the wee hours on a Sunday. I am extremely grateful for the good fortune that followed after I contacted John Leunig's office. Noteworthy: My son, first called 'unnamed defense lawyer' that I hired on 2 different occasions, in t...he past, and advised son to call that night. Son received his voice mail. I then called him and received voice mail, also. 'Ex-unnamed-lawyer' returned my call at exact moment I was signing papers w/bail bondsman 9+ hours later. So I found myself browsing online for a lawyer. Randomly, calling a total of 3 lawyers. Voice mails from all BUT John's office. Within 15mns of calling John's office my questions/fears of the unknown were answered. John immediately called the jail. John DID NOT immediately require a credit card number and payment. John's words, "That's not how I operate." Really? That's NEVER been my experience. John informed me after talking to jail personnel that judge on call number could not be given out until 0900 AM, so no chance of bail or release until that time. John promised he would call me back between 0900&0915 by now, less than 6hrs. John also told me that my son was in a very nice, new facility. Really? Who does that other than to put a Mother's fears at ease. As promised, John called me by 0915 AM and before 0930AM successfully convinced judge to set bail, so my son could make scheduled flight out of state to new job on east coast. Setting bail quickly to catch 2:00 PM flight to leave state of MN was in itself a big relief and success after being arrested less than 15hrs prior to plane's departure. John took care of contacting bail bondsman, and asked that I contact him after son’s release to know all went well, and that son made scheduled flight. His genuine concern was apparent and greatly appreciated. John told us to call his office and set up an appointment at our convenience on next business day to meet in person or talk (son out of state) AFTER his release and when time for us to regroup (sleep). Still no demand for payment after John successfully rendered services. This was NOT because I later learned that his fees were outrageous. Actually, much less than anticipated based on fees paid to now 'ex-lawyer' for much less time and less serious charges for past legal services. Next business day, at my convenience (acting on son's behalf as out of state) set up an appt. to meet with John. John thoroughly explained legal charges, worst possible outcome, best possible outcome and the process. Discussed fees and went over contract for the services that payment covered. Which was all services. No hidden fees to later be 'blindsided' by. I nor my son are wealthy and we do not have access to 'unlimited funds'. Especially, after paying bail & cash required to get car out of impound lot previous day. John had no problem holding check until end of week to allow time to cover it. Again...Really? Thank-YOU! Credit card advances are VERY costly. Son and I preferred NOT to pay that way (if given a choice-as we were) and were given ample time to pay w/o additional credit card fees. Son, only had to fly back one time for first and final court date that John scheduled at son’s convenience and w/ample time to get decent plane fare. My son and I are still in disbelief of the final outcome of charges. John was able to get charges substantially reduced, and was also successful in eliminating the other common 'court mandated' conditions usually attached with like charges. My son, deserved a 2nd chance (as all of us do) and to learn from his poor decision. I have no doubt, if not for John's expertise and QUICK response, at inconvenient time of day that this incident would have been far costlier and painful. I feel blessed and much gratitude that 'ex-lawyer' did not respond on night of arrest and very fortunate that I was somehow guided to contact John on the night of my son's arrest. My family has a new lawyer. LL

For those who are looking for the best lawyer around, John is your man. I hired him when charged with criminal sexual content in the first degree. I chose John over some other very high profile lawyers in the area because he listened intently to my dilemma , found my case extremely interesting, and a...ssured me I would be alright. More importantly however, he is very down to earth, easily, and enjoyable to speak with. As a result, we communicated very well together and got a result which was better than what I could have asked for. The case is completely dismissed! John calmed me down when I was stressed out and assured me " he will not let me down." John didn't let me down. He went above and beyond all expectations. He worked extremely hard over the course of the year, and tirelessly the few weeks before trial. Mr. Leunig assisted me with a very complex case that involved a potential DUI as my Dr.'s had me on multiple heavy Rx's.
