Ron Walters is a 2010 graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Before starting Willwright, Ron worked on an Indian reservation in central Minnesota for five years assisting families with their estate planning needs. Ron started Willwright because he recognized a need for estate planning services that were easy to access, smartly priced, and delivered to the client wherever they are.  

Ron is a married father of two. He enjoys bicycling, soccer, cross country skiing and cooking.

I recently had my Will completed by Ron Walters of Willwright Estate Planning. I found Ron to be professional & knowledgeable & was so impressed that he also was willing to give me advice & help me resolve another legal issue that arose right after my will was complete. He has streamlined his process to minimize how much he bills his clients & provides a choice of several locations to meet with him which is convenient. Ron is easy to communicate with, takes extra care to ensure that you understand the process, & is ethical. His focus is to provide quality service at an affordable price. I would recommend him to a friend.

Easy to work with
After I contacted Ron to discuss estate planning, my mother hired Ron to draft a complete package of estate documents at a predetermined fee. Ron was easy to work with and the entire process of creating a will, healthcare directive, POA, and other estate documents went smoothly. He was able to answer questions thoroughly and was accessible after our initial appointment if any concerns came up. He was also able to explain other estate related concerns such as planning for real estate deed conveyance and having account beneficiaries set up to avoid a more costly and time consuming probate process down the road. Documents were all created and/or filed in an accurate and timely fashion.

Ron provides excellent services!!!
Ron was extremely helpful and great to work with!! I highly recommend his services!! He very patiently explained our options and was quite knowledgeable about all details related to estate planning. I live in CA so his work was for my mother but if I lived in Minnesota I would definitely use Ron for my own estate planning needs. Plus, he's nice and down-to-earth, definitely a plus in an attorney!!

Did A Trust For Us
Ron was most professional and knowledgeable, in addition to his fees being the best of attorneys checked on to get this legal work done for us. We did research on this for a year, talked to many attorneys and went to several seminars on the subject, and Ron was virtually the only attorney who actually acted on his fiduciary responsibility.

Preparation of Estate Planning Documents
Ron was very helpful to me in preparing the documents I needed to put my affairs in order. I already had a valid power of attorney for health care, but needed to update my will and power of attorney documents. He also prepared a transfer on death deed for my house. The process was simple and seamless as well as being cost effective. He was careful to make sure I understood everything I was signing, and was clear on how I was dividing my estate. With his help I was able to structure my estate to avoid it going through probate. It's reassuring to have this necessary job completed.

Updating our wills, powers of attorney/healthcare, and creating trusts
Our wills and powers of attorney documents were 20 years old. Ron Walters was the excellent resource we needed. He was resourceful and responsive, creating updated documents and two basic trusts which addressed our personal situation. The whole process was smooth, we had our documents in less time than expected, and the price was very reasonable. We highly recommend Ron to anyone in need of an updated will or trust.

Knowledgeable & Efficient
I had submitted requests for consultation to multiple Attorneys in my area. Ron was the first to take interest in our family's situation, and was willing to communicate via text for the benefit of my Grandma. (That was VERY helpful!) Before we had even decided whether or not to hire Ron, he answered some rather specific questions reference Grandma's estate planning, and settled our family's nerves in a brief amount of time! Professional Process
I was looking for an attorney who charged by the job, not the hour and Ron's reviews and experience were good. Ron responded to my online inquiry right away, he reviewed my situation and made recommendations that would best protect my assets from probate. He prepared all of the necessary docs and after I carefully reviewed them, found only a few minor errors that were easily corrected. Overall Ron seems very knowledgeable with Estate Planning and is very professional and courteous. I would recommend Ron to others who have similar estate planning needs as myself, he did a great job.
