Ok, slow but good in the begining but very poor on your aftercare

I had a Work comp injury classified as "catastrophic". I hired Karl Von Rueter to represent me. We settled the claim and everyone went their separate ways. On 6/13 I had issues with the surgery and the insurance company. I attempted to involve Karl Von Rueter. I attempted several times to contact Kar...l, one time he actually became verbally abusive with me via telephone telling me he needed certain paperwork from the Dr. I then went to the Dr. the first time and told the Dr. what he (Karl) needed to further pursue the insurance company. I was called by Karl saying the medical paperwork was note acceptable. I returned to the Dr Hubner the second time saying exactly what Karl needed the paperwork to say. I got that paperwork from the Dr. with the Dr saying that if he would've read the report it was all contained in the first report. Finally I went to the Dr. Hubner a third time, then calling Karl's office while in the Dr's office with the Dr. present to clarify and get it EXACTLY right. I received that paperwork. I had to send it to Karls office twice. I received no further response with Karl's office. Finally I said Karl a very strongly worded e-mail (which I will be happy to provide) telling him as my attorney that he was obligated to handle this situation. Karl finally called after receiving my e-mail stating that he will not represent me any longer because of my e-mail. please assist me.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
