Chad A. Throndset

I started to work with Chad 15 years ago and he has helped me on several occasions. In particular is DUI representation. He was always honest with me explaining the potential scenarios including the worse case. He's not an over promise kind of guy. He would explain very clearly what was in front ...of us. He made me feel more comfortable by telling the truth. Makes me feel like a human. A lot of attorneys that I have dealt with you are just an ant on the hill. They look at you like a criminal. Chad looks at the good in people. He really takes the time to understand the case and do the research.

Chad came highly recommended from a friend and after meeting with him I was confident he was the right person to help me through this process. Chad handled my case with professionalism. His straightforward and confident approach made me feel very confident that he was the best person for the job. Y...ou never know what side of the bed the judge is going to wake up on, but Chad was very good about knowing what to focus on. He knew the direction we needed to go, and throughout the case I felt very confident knowing he was on my side. In the end, Chad was able to negotiate a very favorable settlement for me. I highly recommend Chad.

I signed the $4,500 engagement fee (March 16th) and then decided to no longer proceed with my case after paternity was determined (April 13th). Throughout my time with Mr Throndset I had called numerous times and was unable to contact him directly along with finding out what progress had been made on... my case. I had negotiated and paid for my own paternity testing in which the child was not mine. I then called the office (Carlson & Jones, P.A.) to ask that Mr Throndset no longer continue my case. I e-mailed him directly to ask for a possible refund of my $4,500 fee. He contacted me 5 days later saying he got my e-mail and would consult with his partners first about a refund. I received a refund of only $1,500 where the other 3,000 was spent on research for my case (less than a month) and due to him having to turn down other cases. I don't believe those to be legitimate reasons since Mr Throndset barely had time enough to keep up with me, his client, let alone take on other cases. He was clearly overwhelmed with cases and I doubt the "research" he had done and time spent on my case was worth $3,000. I had expected a larger refund because I felt Mr Throndset was an inadequate lawyer and during my signing of the retainer he had mentioned he was a "good man" and would negotiate a refund if the case need be discontinued. -Joshua S.
