This lawyer was recommended to me. After the first consultation, I decided to hire her for my divorce, as she answered all my questions so well. But when the process began, instead of responding to all my emails, she ignored them, which caused me a lot of stress. She demanded more documents from me t...han she should have to ask from the other side. My son and I, who helped me because my English wasn't my primary language ,prepared and compiled all the documents ourselves and sent them to her and her team. She canceled our first meeting with the judge, and so our case dragged on for a long time. She didn't cancel first mediation, even though the other side didn't provide enough documents. I had to personally request that the mediation be canceled just a couple of days beforehand. Instead of her working on our case, I had to constantly push it forward and ask her to take action. And despite this, I received high bills from her office every month. After she found out I didn't have much money in my account and was receiving a small salary (approximately 2.5 months after our case began ), she refused to be my lawyer, even though I assured her there would be no problem with payment. I persuaded her to continue being my lawyer, which I later regretted. I still hoped that she would help me, but that didn't happen. And after the mediation, which later took place but didn't resolve all the issues, all because she persistently failed to require the other party to provide all the necessary documents, a couple of weeks passed, and she again refused to be my lawyer and handle our case. She said “she refused to be my lawyer any longer because we weren't on the same page”.That sounded strange to me. A lawyer who should understand what his client is going through during a divorce, and who also knows that English is not my language, says that we are not on the same page. In the nine months she was my lawyer, she did nothing, except I pay her and her team a lot of money. And during that time, I received no help or support, only stress. Having had a bad experience, I would not recommend this lawyer.

I was referred to Marna by a coworker who wishes he had hired her. As difficult as a divorce can be, Marna (and her team) made the process easy. From the initial consultation she explained the basics to me, and she was concerned for the well-being of both me and my daughter. My case was not an easy o...ne, but Marna was extremely patient as things dragged on. She explained ways to help me keep my legal fees down and she didn’t “run up the bill” with unneeded issues. I was given options of how I wanted to do things and not told what to do. She answered all my questions, as they arose, and she was fast to respond when I needed her. After my case was settled, on her own time, she contacted me to see how my daughter and I were doing. I would highly recommend her to anyone experiencing a divorce.

I hired Marna Anderson as my attorney when I was going through a divorce. She is very experienced, smart, and very thorough. I truly don’t know if I would’ve survived it, without her in my corner. Please don't use this attorney. She is unethical, and doesn't listen to her clients. I hired her for a custody/visitation change. She literally did bare minimum and even at the end of my first court hearing when she was supposed to have an ending statement didn't even do one which didn't help my case... at all. I have literally gotten way more going through the rest of my court case by myself then having this attorney fighting for me. Not to mention I spent thousands of dollars for her to help me and when I ran out of money and even told her that I had no more so she would step down when the money ran out she didn't instead she kept going and then charged me more. I have lost faith in attorneys now and am glad I am growing a back bone to be able to go to court by myself and fight for myself. No thanks to this attorney..
