I got a phone call response quick after leaving my initial email message. She was kind and understanding. She gave me excellent advice. I will use her services again should we need legal help. Thanks
After reviewing different attorneys I chose Peggy because she had been practicing law for many years and in particular because she had a background working for Social Security and knew how things work and finally because she was a woman. I feel that all of my "reasoning" was well founded and am glad that I went with my "reasoning"! I first spoke with Peggy by phone and explained my situation to her and she gave me her direct, honest and open opinion. She acknowledged my case would be difficult, but that she felt I had a strong case, but felt her representation could have a winning outcome. I was glad I found her, she took my case and was involved from the very initial (she helped me from filing my initial application) stage all the way through. Many people don't hire an attorney until they've been denied at least once or twice. I wanted an attorney to help and represent me from the very start. She is very busy, but her staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, thorough, communicative and Peggy was available for questions or concerns if ever needed/wanted. It took a while to get to the final stages of my case and of course I was very worried, but Peggy came through. She met with myself and my family (for their input, since they were around, had to help me and knew first-hand my situation) and reviewed everything with detail, allayed my worries and concerns and from the hip told us what she felt and thought could happen etc. If I had any "advice" I would give anyone is to hire an attorney when you are thinking of first applying (it helps). If avoidable, do not wait until you are denied at any point of the process.

31 years
While I have been primarily in the general practice of law for much of that time, I worked for the Social Security Administration at the Hearing Level as an attorney and I have been handling Social Security cases through the years.
My practice has also included working with clients with physical and mental impairments as trial lawyer in personal injury cases. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Social Work is from the University of Minnesota and my Juris Doctorate Degree is from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. I chose to specialize in Social Security Disability Law because it combines all of my education, skills, and experience that I have acquired through the years.

An Attorney with Knowledge
Peggy Stevens represented me with my social security disability benefits case . . . . I'm so glad I chose her for this job, she was honest, straight to the point, and kept me updated regularly. Peggy had two jobs with my case, my benefit dealings and my impatient behavior. She handled both very well. So, for you first timers, this is not an overnight process, it takes a lot of time and patience. Peggy does her hob well. Had I known my first round with another law firm would become an epic failure, I would have called Peggy L. Stevens/Stephanie A. Johnson Law firm first!!! This will be your one stop shop, you will feel the confidence immediately. Thanks again, Peggy!

Peggy did what 2 other firms couldn't!
Peggy cared from the very beginning, she came recommended to me and I couldn't be happier. Every conversation I've felt heard and cared for and have the results (favorable decision) to prove it.

Peggy's help with my case
I was initially given Peggy's name as a referral. After meeting with her, I hired Peggy to represent me in my disability case with Social Security and my experience was very satisfactory. My case was very successful, as my case was approved. She certainly helped to reduce my stress through out the case as she handled the the paperwork and forwarded any necessary paperwork for me to fill out, to me, with the instructions on how to fill them out. I would certainly hire her again if I had the option or needed her expertise.

Trust Peggy
Peggy represented my daughter in her petition for Social Security disability benefits. We were anxious since my daughter's disability is pervasive but not obvious. Peggy was honest and let us know exactly what sorts of things the judge would and wouldn't consider, and she drew on her experience to let us know all the possible outcomes. She prepared both of us thoroughly for the hearing. Even though we were nervous, Peggy was entirely calm and professional, which helped us relax during testimony. My daughter won her case, and I credit Peggy's knowledge of the law and thorough preparation. Thank you, Peggy!

Thank God someone referred me to this Lawyer!
Not only did my son get to remain in Minnesota, but I gained confidence in a divorce that I did not know how to handle. Peggy Stevens focuses on facts, fairness, and what is right. She made me look like a respectible and responsible mother in front of the judge. My outcomes were fair and I am able to look in the mirror everyday after a legal battle that I never wanted to endure. I also ended up with a better financial outcome, rather then assuming all the debt.
I still send her a Christmas card every year. You will too, if you hire her to represent you.

At a necessary time, the necessary support needed.
At a serious turning point in my life, following a 25 year marriage, I needed someone to listen, suport and educate me. Peggy was there. I needed attention to details and she patiently provided that. With sensitivity to all topics concerned, she was there. I am grateful to this day as are my children. I would easily, confidently, recommend her.

A Winning Attorney
I have known Peggy for several years and cannot speak more confidently of her lawyering skills, intellect, and most importantly, her ability to produce and win. I have witnessed Peggy successfully work a Personal Injury case one day, garner custody of a child for a deserving parent the next and help a client successfully wade through the nightmare of the Social Security process yet the next day. I proudly endorse Peggy.

Peggy is a great lawyer, and has absolutely changed my life. She is very knowledgeable, always available and definitely knows what she's doing. I couldn't recommend her more highly. She handled my disability claim, and it went though without a single hitch. I now have an opportunity to get back on my feet and back into the real world. Thank you Peggy! I couldn't have done it without you!
