After 13 years in sales and sales management, 12 years owning a construction equipment rental business, and 4 years as a small business consultant and coach, I graduated from law school in 2009. Since earning my law degree, I've been providing legal and business services to small business owners and residential contractors to help them grow their business and protect what they build. Everyday I combine my past experiences, my MBA, and my law degree to provide a wholistic approach to preventing and resolving issues that arise everyday for owner-operated businesses.
While I provide aggressive representation for my clients in disputes with other parties, I devote the majority of my time to positioning my clients to avoid problems altogher, or to manage and contain issues that arise to keep the cost of solving the problems as reasonable as possible.
When looking for legal services from an attorney who understands business and what it's like to be an owner, look no further than Bill Gschwind and Minnesota Construction Law Services PLLC.

Bill invoiced me $1500 which went into a trust account. This was collected via my credit card to a Clio payment portal. Upon completion of the project my total was $1219.00. Oddly Bill was insistent to mail me back a check for the $281.00 instead of just refunding my card which is how I payed. We...
This was nothing more than a misunderstanding about best practices when managing trust funds that has been completely resolved. I believe I did excellent work for Mr. Ettreim and I am sorry that his frustration over the return of these funds has overshadowed the value of the services I provided to him. Trust funds were refunded by check to create the proper paper trail for the trust account. Mr. Eittreim notified me that he did not receive the check. I verified that the check had not yet cleared my account, and suggested we give the mail another week. I later mistakenly reported to Mr. Eittreim that it appeared the missing check had cleared and wanted to verify that he received it. When he told me that he had not received the check, a replacement check was immediately mailed to the address Mr. Eittreim verified. Mr. Eittreim later notified me that the second check had not arrived, either, and insisted that his refund be completed via electronic transfer. That was done. I am disappointed that Mr. Eittreim is unhappy. I took responsibility for the delay and his trust funds have been fully refunded. Clearly, I have not done enough to make him happy, and for that, I am sorry.
