Attorney Chuck Koehler has been a shareholder with the Herrling Clark Law Firm for over 25 years as Financial Chairman. From 2013-2014 he served as President and is now Vice-President of the Firm. Chuck’s practice is concentrated in areas of business and personal financial matters, business and real estate transactions, municipal law, employment law, and related matters in these areas of law. Chuck also handles a wide variety of disputes, mediations, and lawsuits including matters involving real estate, employment issues, creditors' rights, municipal matters, banking matters, partnerships, limited liability companies, corporate law, purchase, and sale of businesses, bankruptcy, and estate and business transition planning and strategies.
Transactional matters within Chuck’s experience include areas such as forming corporations, negotiating and drafting business contracts, employment agreements, partnership agreements, municipal ordinances, and resolutions, stock agreements, eminent domain, leases, restrictive covenants, non-competition agreements, condominium declarations, bank loan documentation, security agreements, wills, and trusts, real estate purchase contracts, agreements for the sale, purchase, and merger of businesses, articles, and bylaws, real estate easements, contracts, covenants, and purchase and sale agreements
Chuck has been certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy based upon testing, as well as actual litigation and jury trial experience. Chuck’s trial experience includes a wide range of disputes, including administrative hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and lawsuits in State and Federal courts.
Chuck was rated by an international service as having "very high to preeminent" legal ability and "very high" ethical standards as established by confidential opinions of members of the Bar in Northeast Wisconsin. He also was rated as one of the "Best of the Bar" in a survey of lawyers conducted by Fox Cities Magazine.
Chuck is currently the Chairperson of District 6 of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Fee Arbitration Program, served on a select committee of the State Bar regarding multi-disciplinary practice, and serves on the Board of Directors for Community Real Estate and Personal Property Foundation, Inc. which is a supporting organization of the Community Foundation of the Fox Valley. He also serves on several other Boards of Directors.
