Ryan P. Thompson

Ryan advises his clients in general business law matters with a focus on HR best practices, employment law, and trademark law. His practice also includes business litigation and collections.

  He works with businesses to develop practical, creative and low-cost solutions to minimize disputes and litigation. He frequently provides seminars on the increasingly complex state and federal employment laws. Additionally, he often conducts in-house training to owners, managers, and supervisors on management best practices. These training sessions focus on proven methods that reduce exposure to legal liability and effectively minimizes damages from employee filed law suits.

  Ryan earned his Bachelors of Business Administration, with majors in Human Resource Management & Marketing and an emphasis in legal studies, from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He earned his Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law.

  He is an active member of the community and currently sits on the Board of Directors for multiple non-profit organizations including Step Industries, Harbor House, and the Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce.

  His wide array of interests include golf, hunting, hiking, water skiing, snow boarding, chess, music, and poetry.
