Jennifer F. Thompson

Some words I would use to describe after hiring Jennifer Thompson would be: unprofessional, incompetent, unstable, unprepared, and short tempered. For reference, she was my attorney for the first half of my divorce, and if you have the option to choose anyone other than Attorney Thompson, I would re...commend you do so and not make a tough time in your life any harder than it is already. The lawyer I hired after parting ways with Ms. Thompson was night and day difference in how they operated and so was my overall experience. If you're looking to get cussed out and screamed at by someone you're paying hundreds of dollars an hour to, Attorney Thompson is for you! Another big red flag I saw after the fact was when she showed up to court in a beat up looking Ford Escape. She complained about the Judge enough to me that I was convinced the Judge did not like her, which I don't think is a very favorable trait. Not sure if she had other issues going on in her life when I had hired her, but I don't wish anyone to have the type of experience I had with her. Two thumbs down, if I could rate her ZERO STARS, that would be more accurate than the 1 star. An absolute disgrace.

Within the first 5 minutes I knew I had made a mistake in paying $100 for a consultation with Jennifer F. Thompson; she didn't even give me the courtesy of introducing herself. I was emotional and in tears being very upset over a DC citation I received. I was relieved to finally meet with a lawye...r to have my have questions answered in order to know my options in fighting this citation, and in dealing with a stalker. Jennifer wasn't listening to me; she impatiently cut me off numerous times, as if annoyed. For example, I started our conversation by saying, "I originally wanted to get a restraining order against my neighbor, but now I..." and she cut me off telling me why a RO wasn't possible. I could barely get a full sentence out before she reacted. She should no concern for my situation, she was confrontational, and visibly sneered at me a couple times, as if my questions were stupid. Throughout the entire consultation I felt as if I were in court defending myself. She actually said, "I don't believe you" and "I don't believe that happened" making me feel re-victimized.

Jennifer Thompson is ineffective. I paid her thousands of dollars, of which accomplished nothing on my behalf. She is self serving, rude, incompetent, unorganized and unprepared. She failed to keep me informed on progress of my case, didn't respond to my emails or phone calls, and charged me for mist...akes made by her and her personnel.
