My husband and I hired Lauren for our custody battle in November 2015. Although we didn't have a lot to go on against the other parent she still pointed out the lies and manipulation of the other parent during testimony. She stressed the very issue that our son/stepson belonged with us for various re...asons. She hit everything on the head in court and even got the other parent to pay us child support at the very first initial hearing!!! This wasn't even something we were addressing but since my stepsons mother was asking for it from us, we decided to do the same. She does a great job at catching the lies in testimonies and makes the judge aware through her cross examination that the other persons whole testimony was inaccurate. Not only did we win but our stepson mother disn't gain anything from it, she actually has to pay! Something she said she would never do!!! Thank you Lauren!

I would highly recommend Lauren Otto for a family case to any of my friends or family. Lauren made me feel like I was number 1 on her priority list throughout the process. I personally find having to go to court with my ex-wife stressful but after I met with Lauren I felt more calm and comfortable wi...th it. She fought hard for my rights and my kids in my custody case and came through for us.

Where do I even start. Lauren was very new when I worked with her and has a lot to learn about being a good lawyer. My phone calls were generally never responded to and I was made feel like a criminal in a family case fighting to have my own child. When character surveys were given by Otto in a Guard...ian Et Lietem family case and the case summery was written, iwas clear the facts were falsified on her end. I genuinely believe this as I had copies of all the character reports sent in by my references before sending them to her. In the guardian stand point only meeting her for about an hour and being recommended by her to have a mental evaluation while the other party who has seen a psychologist for mental issues breify and refuses to go back was not recommended. Well long story short given the falsified report and 3 visits to the psychologist to complete a mental evaluation, I can honestly say she has wasted my money for her services, my health insurance's money for recommending a evaluation that even have the psychologists scratching their heads on why I was there in the first place and why my ex was not. Especially since this was the same place he had gone for his psychological issues. To be quite honest I'm lucky I have a strong mental health as I know had my ex had to be put through what I went through, he would have attempted suicide another time. Working with her put me in the worst part of my life I would never choose to relive specifically due to the actions she put forth. I needed a copy of something made after court as well and I to this day have never received it. Her files are not organized and was told this over the phone. I can't imagine how anything was kept straight in our paperwork. Don't waste your money, it's only going to find you frustration with a spend price tag. And I have worked with other lawyers being a business owner myself whom I would all recommend. Lauren, however, I would not trust to represent me in family cases and if I needed a lawyer for criminal I would probably defend myself before I hired her.

I hired Mrs. Otto in regards to obtaining custody of my two children. She made the best of an unfortunate situation and understood my need to put the well being of my children first. Her extensive knowledge of family law eased my anxiety about the tough legal process ahead! Her experience in the cour...troom gave me confidence that we would be successful. Mrs. Otto gave me clear advice about how to proceed with my case without using confusing legalese. Thanks to her council, I am now happy to have placement and custody of my son and daughter. I can rest better at night knowing that their needs are needs are being met, I thank Mrs. Otto for being my best asset in my fight for them!!!! You're The best!!!!
