False Expectations, Minimim Effort, Horrible Follow Up

DO NOT HIRE!! I’m a professional automotive consultant who does not live in Green Bay. I got a warning for speeding on i43 going 79mph & as a result got charged with 2nd OWI blowing .101 on officer’s breathalyzer. I was not belligerent or swerving in the least bit. My only infraction should have been... speeding. I blew .08 when I arrived to the jail shortly after blood draw. I kept insisting on performing my own evaluation as mentioned in the consent form which was read to me by the police officer. I asked countless times how I was to go about performing my own evaluation because I’ve been blatantly false accused by other police departments in the past. I ultimately agreed to have my blood drawn with the understanding that I’d be able to get my own evaluation once released & that my license would remain valid. Ironic how sure enough, conveniently for them, the BAC results came back at .102 which bumped me up to the next level of severity on charges. When I asked Chris about performing my own evaluation on the first visit to his office he replied “no one’s ever done that” instead of informing me of the proper processes & procedures. There was minimal effort on Chris’ behalf throughout the entire process. Right away he set false expectations in regards to helping me w/ not losing my license since it’s essential for my career. He sent the initial administrative review letter to DMV which I appreciated. However, he absolutely dropped the ball when it got to the 2nd step in the process which involved submitting a judicial review through GB court system within a certain time period which HE NEVER DID!!! Multiple emails were ignored & I barely received follow up (if any) throughout my whole experience. I had to insist many times for a simple call back in regards to my questions. He then set false expectations AGAIN on our last appointment before my hearing making me plead no-contest since he’d be asking for 5 days opposed to 25 days in jail, a transfer to my county, & the possibility of getting gps bracelet for a fee which all sounded reasonable. When it came down to it, he asked for 15 days instead of the 5 days which we had discussed prior to hearing. He didn’t even mention transfer to my county where I’ve worked for 5 years & recently purchased my first home at. In the end I got 20 days in brown county jail, 13 months suspended license, 13 months interlock, assessment classes, and I don’t even know how many more fee’s that are yet to come as a result of his weak statements & poor consulting. After my hearing, he’s only responded to one email w/ a phone number to Brown County jail & Huber office. No initiative on Froelich’s behalf whatsoever. He has ignored me since in regards to helping me at least transfer to my county. Again, I don’t live in Green Bay.. it’s not easy for me to make a trip to get necessary paperwork which was the whole reason as to why I hired a lawyer. I hired him in the hopes that he’d help me thoroughly since I was appointed a public defender my first OWI for a .07 at the age of 20 when I got stuck in snow & could not afford a reputable lawyer at the time. I would have been better off representing myself. Complete waste of money.

STAY AWAY - TOO BUSY TO REALLY HELP!!

Initially when we met him he seemed very kind and like he really cared but as we got farther along in our case (mind you this was many changed court dates, us doing a majority of the leg work and many calls to his office and cell...just trying to get ahold of him most of the time) it got worse and wo...rse as far as him not returning phone calls, getting paperwork to us that he stated he would and one of the few times that I recall he did call me back it was at 10:30 at night which is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable!! And when it came time to his closing argument on final day of court that was a joke!! I have never been to any schooling for Law and I could have given a better closing statement than he did that day and because of that it costed me and my family a lot of grief and heartache:( Below is a message he sent me that had me in tears!! "I can't get ahold of you, I tried and l left message....I gotta Move on! Too busy to do anything else for you, case closed." (This is the text message he sent me after trying to call me at 10:30 at night, when I was already asleep!) Steer clear of this attorney and please for you and your family's sake find a different attorney who will devote his full attention to you and your case, it's you and your family's future at stake!!!!!!! If I could have filled in only a quarter of the star that's what I would have done but one star was the lowest I could go on site!

YES!! Chris Comes Thru!!

We just got done with 8 months of dealing with a Felony DUI case with 4+ court appearances that with Chris's careful, diligent, extensive, Review AND Proactive execution of the facts of the case he got it DISMissed today!! Thank YOU CHRIS!!! You did a Great Job! I am Soooooo Relieved!! This is no...t the first time ive needed Legal help as I have had prior duis, tho years ago, and it was going to be a felony offense that I was facing. The circumstances and the whole situation of how the charges came about were pretty weak tho and Chris Capitalized on those Facts and the Case as a whole and he got it Dismissed! I feel Great and Relieved that he had the case and handled it as well and careful as he did. He went over everything that the prosecution had AND Listened to what I had to say and offer as well about the incident. He did not have a better than thou BS attitude and Wanted to hear what I had to say...keep that in mind... Had this not been resolved today he was prepared to take it further and all the way to Jury Trial if need be. He felt that sure about the case. IF he felt it was not going well, or good to take it that far im sure he would have informed me of that too. He and his staff, secretarys, also returned phone calls if I had any questions to be answered. Ive had other legal reps in the past, tho long ago, but Still, THEY did NOT Really Listen to what I had to say, offer, or even CARE!! They more or less just rolled over and just said "Umm, your going to jail. These are the minimums for the charges"....Pffff. They didnt even bother to try to fight the case.the charges! Do yourself a Favor and let Chris take your case or at the very Least give him a phone call and Talk to him about it and let him offer you his opinion. HE DOES Listen! And thats why im writing this... Thank You Chris!! Great Job!!! John M.

misdemeanor and felony charges

I would hire Chris again in a heart beat. He did what he said he would do. He got my felony charges on a deferred judgement, my jail time reduced, and huber. I felt he worked hard so that I could eventually get the felony off my record and I would be able to keep my job. He knew that I did not wa...nt to be a felon the rest of my life. He always returned my calls in a timely manner.

Unbelievably dissapointed!!

I cannot say enough on how lazy he is! He had me doing more research than I felt he did himself. I don't feel the money I'm paying is justified for his "work". He rarely calls me back and doesn't listen to what I want. Yes he got the charges reduced which is good but he really didn't argue much in co...urt which drove me nuts!! I don't feel like my case was important to him and he clearly had his mind on other things. Find someone else!
