He'll Take Your Money, Then You'll NEVER Be Able To Reach Him!

As a business professional and an avid traveler, I have dealt with attorneys for business, civil, and traffic cases throughout my life and in many locations around the world. Christopher T. Froelich is the worst attorney I have encountered, do not hire this man! I hired Mr. Froelich to represent an ...old friend of mine who got in to trouble with OWI. She had never been in trouble with the law before. I paid a $5,000.00 retainer to Mr. Froelich after a few phone conversations but was not able to reach him after that, nor was my friend or another member of my friend's family. Even as the court date approached we were unable to reach Mr. Froelich to give him another payment, which was required for other issues that arose with the case. This went on several times and caused delay after delay. I'm not going to go into any more detail as it would serve no purpose. Just look at all the other one star revues concerning Christopher T. Froelich and believe them.

Bare minimal and false hope

I hired Chris to help with a 1st offense OWI. After a consult and telling him what happened, he said he thought he could help. He was very nice and friendly and seemed like he genuinely wanted to help. As a court date got closer it was obvious he wasn't doing much to prepare for anything. He was so b...usy I never got to talk to him and then he pushed things back. I'm pretty sure he did nothing to review the case or dashcam footage or anything until he absolutely had to when I was at the office because we finally had to respond to the court for the plea deal. In the end, he basically said he couldn't do anything and said I should accept the deal. I suggested trying to get the license revocation down because the cops had told me my license would be suspended immediately for refusal of the breath test and things got pushed out for months. In the end, the court refused that so after Chris did nothing but push things out I lost almost 3 months that I feel if I had just called the court and got a plea deal immediately I would have saved lawyer fees and already would be at least 2 months ahead on license revocation. After that was said and done I called to talk to Chris about help with ignition interlock exemptions on other vehicles in my name and after 3 calls and leaving messages with his office staff I have not heard back. It's now been over a month and nothing. His office staff seems unorganized and doesn't really know what is going on. They'll maybe pass along the info to Chris but good luck hearing back unless you haven't paid yet. Then they'll get your money and do the BARE MINIMUM which isn't going to help at all. If you are thinking about hiring Chris, DO NOT...you'll be better off talking to the court yourself especially in a first offense OWI.

Helped with divorce

I was recommended by a good friend to see Chris, I hired him to help with my divorce to make sure everything was done properly. Everything went smoothly and would recommend his services.

I'm not a spiteful person but I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. I hired Chris as my divorce attorney. Initially, he was very nice and had me convinced he could help. As time went on, the divorce became more complicated and it became very apparent he wanted to do as little work as pos...sible. Follow up was non-existent and I had to contact the office constantly for updates. Chris didn't work on my behalf, I wasn't given the help I needed (and paid for). When my x's attorney contacted his office with an unreasonable request, all I received was the forwarded message from the other attorney's office asking for a response. When I reviewed documents, I was the one who made recommendations for changes, not him. When the divorce was final, my x was in contempt of the divorce settlement. I reached out to Chris for help and received nothing. I had to hire a different attorney (who did a fantastic job). Please please do yourself a favor and do not hire him!

False Expectations, Minimim Effort, Horrible Follow Up

DO NOT HIRE!! I’m a professional automotive consultant who does not live in Green Bay. I got a warning for speeding on i43 going 79mph & as a result got charged with 2nd OWI blowing .101 on officer’s breathalyzer. I was not belligerent or swerving in the least bit. My only infraction should have been... speeding. I blew .08 when I arrived to the jail shortly after blood draw. I kept insisting on performing my own evaluation as mentioned in the consent form which was read to me by the police officer. I asked countless times how I was to go about performing my own evaluation because I’ve been blatantly false accused by other police departments in the past. I ultimately agreed to have my blood drawn with the understanding that I’d be able to get my own evaluation once released & that my license would remain valid. Ironic how sure enough, conveniently for them, the BAC results came back at .102 which bumped me up to the next level of severity on charges. When I asked Chris about performing my own evaluation on the first visit to his office he replied “no one’s ever done that” instead of informing me of the proper processes & procedures. There was minimal effort on Chris’ behalf throughout the entire process. Right away he set false expectations in regards to helping me w/ not losing my license since it’s essential for my career. He sent the initial administrative review letter to DMV which I appreciated. However, he absolutely dropped the ball when it got to the 2nd step in the process which involved submitting a judicial review through GB court system within a certain time period which HE NEVER DID!!! Multiple emails were ignored & I barely received follow up (if any) throughout my whole experience. I had to insist many times for a simple call back in regards to my questions. He then set false expectations AGAIN on our last appointment before my hearing making me plead no-contest since he’d be asking for 5 days opposed to 25 days in jail, a transfer to my county, & the possibility of getting gps bracelet for a fee which all sounded reasonable. When it came down to it, he asked for 15 days instead of the 5 days which we had discussed prior to hearing. He didn’t even mention transfer to my county where I’ve worked for 5 years & recently purchased my first home at. In the end I got 20 days in brown county jail, 13 months suspended license, 13 months interlock, assessment classes, and I don’t even know how many more fee’s that are yet to come as a result of his weak statements & poor consulting. After my hearing, he’s only responded to one email w/ a phone number to Brown County jail & Huber office. No initiative on Froelich’s behalf whatsoever. He has ignored me since in regards to helping me at least transfer to my county. Again, I don’t live in Green Bay.. it’s not easy for me to make a trip to get necessary paperwork which was the whole reason as to why I hired a lawyer. I hired him in the hopes that he’d help me thoroughly since I was appointed a public defender my first OWI for a .07 at the age of 20 when I got stuck in snow & could not afford a reputable lawyer at the time. I would have been better off representing myself. Complete waste of money.
