I was referred to Mudge, Porter, Lundeen & Seguin by an Attorney in Stillwater, MN, Eric Thole. his recommendation was to speak with Mr. Lundeen who, at the time of my offense was out of town. In Mr. Lundeens absence Joel was very prompt to reach out to me. We spoke briefly about my situation and... he was a great listener and made me feel at ease at a very difficult time. I liked him immediately. We later met in person to hash out the details and felt even more comfortable at which time we decided to work together and I hired him. Looking at jail time and loosing my job plus more with a 3rd OWI Charge. Reviewed other attorneys and came across Joel and chose him. He was excellent and very good communicator and always answered my calls or called back in a reasonable time. It is not just the court stuff but also the DMV issues th...at is good to get answered about too, which Joel answered for me with clarity. He carefully reviewed my case and previous OWIs for any potential issues. He is an expert about Collateral Attack defense for OWI cases. He did not use this defense in my case but was able to leverage the possibility and lower my offense to a 2nd OWI. I received the bare minimum fine and punishment of a 2nd OWI too. I was pulled over for a DWI and also charged with "intent to sell THC." While the Assistant DA was "slow-to-respond," Joel's persistence eventually lead to a plea agreement which included several charges being dismissed, and two counts of THC possession (a misdemeanor). The DA also reduced my blood...-alcohol charge (avoiding a vehicle interlock requirement). I believe it is largely Joel's integrity and reputation within the courts that helped both the DA and the Judge to see my case for what it was (and wasn't). While this has cost me a bundle both financially, professionally, and personally, I firmly believe that I received the most lenient sentence possible given the original charges. This has been an extremely difficult time for me and my family. Not only has Joel been accessible and responsive, he has also treated me with respect, understanding, and compassion - having a friend and confidant in my corner has meant the world to me!
