Attorney Jeremiah Meyer-O’Day has dedicated his career to the service of others and the protection of the “little guy.” His legal career began at a non-profit law firm in Madison, Wisconsin, where he helped people in both criminal and civil proceedings, including evictions, collections, and family-law issues. Attorney Meyer-O’Day then joined the Office of the State Public Defender, working in the Lancaster, Wisconsin office. There, he defended people accused of crimes at all levels of severity. He has extensive trial experience, and a record of successfully litigating issues involving the violation of clients’ constitutional rights. He’s convinced judges to throw out evidence obtained by police illegally on numerous occasions, and convinced the court of appeals that a particular statute was unconstitutional. At Martinez & Ruby, LLP, Attorney Meyer-O’Day exclusively handles criminal and related matters, both at the trial and appellate levels.

Jeremiah Wolfgang Meyer O'day proved to me there is justice in the legal system
I was in a one car accident, I took my eyes off the road for a moment to look at my navigation unit and ran onto the shoulder of the highway. I panicked and over compensated turning back on the road and veered left and rolled over and then over the guard rail. I have spinal stenosis and have been on three pain pills a day for about six years. I had drank way to much coffee that day on my trip and between that and being really shook up from the accident I was really shaking badly. My bottle of pain pills had flown out of my purse and landed outside of the vehicle. The police noticed that I was shaking and then found the pills laying on the ground outside of the vehicle. They charged me with improper lane usage and DUI, and took me in for a blood test, which when the results came back showing that I had taken my pills as instructed. The DA was apparently new there and was determined to follow through with charging me. It appeared that I was going to have to go through a jury trial and spend a lot more money and hire an expert witness to testify in my behalf. A couple weeks later Jeremiah called me and told me he had gotten the judge to throw out the DUI, and I would just have to pay the improper lane usage ticket. I was so relieved as this case had been hanging over my head for over a year. I also live about three hours away from Baraboo and only had to make one trip there to hire the lawyer which was also a relief. Just when I thought the outcome could not be any better, about an hour or so after Jeremiah first call, he called back to let me know that they were dropping the improper lane usage charge as well! His fee was very reasonable in my opinion and he did an absolutely fantastic job for me! Thank you again Jeremiah for the fantastic job that you did for me, I would definitely recommend you to anyone needing a good attorney in Baraboo!

Thank you for saving my life Jeremiah!
Two years ago, I had to defend my mothers life and mine with deadly force. My first pending charge was Second-Degree Reckless Homicide. My second pending charge was First Degree Reckless Homicide. The first trial was later on found to be a hung jury. During the second trial due to a new D.A., my first two Reckless Homicide charges were dropped, my new pending charge was increased to First Degree Intentional Homicide. During theses times Jeremiah & Taylor Hart had to prove that I had acted in self-defense. Although it has been a long two years, in the end Jeremiah & Taylor Hart proved my Innocence. To anyone in need of a professional lawyer Jeremiah Meyer O’Day is your Guy.

best attorney to hire for criminal charges.
We hired Jeremiah for a family member facing some serious charges. I would highly recommend Jeremiah as a criminal defense attorney. He is the best and does 100% fight for your rights to prove your Innocence and get faulty charges dropped. If you need a good attorney Jeremiah is the one.

My first choice
Jeremiah was the best public defender I could have ever asked for. He fought for my case with wise yet relentless determination to bring justice to my case. And I am happy to say that we Won at jury trial facing some serious allegations. I recently found out Jeremiah is no longer a public defender, but for obvious reasons as I would recommend him to anyone as a private attorney. Can’t thank you enough Jeremiah. - Gunther

Strong defense
Jeremiah didn't give up on my case. He took the time to understand my situation and family circumstances and was determined to win. Although the court was against me from the beginning because of my past criminal history, Jeremiah never saw that as a set back. He made sure to take every route possible to put me in good standings. Although I don't see my future with any more law breaking activities, if something did happen, he would be my first call.
