Smart and attentive attorney

I was recently involved in a real estate transaction and hired Attorney Tim to represent me. Considering that this was a sell by owner transaction and I was located in a different city, I was bit nervous at first. Tim walked me through the entire process from start to finish thoroughly. He was attentive and was available when needed including weekends and Christmas holidays. He also suggested a couple of pointers on the real estate condition report which turned out to be right and smart thing to do to avoid any legal troubles in future. I was able to complete the whole process from a different city without having to come to Madison. Tim was thorough in his preparation and punctual. I would highly recommend him for real estate transactions.

Divorce and Custody

I spoke with Tim regarding some custody/placement issues I had regarding my son. He spoke knowledgeably about the subject and offered me options. I wish I would have hired him when I was going through my divorce then I probably wouldn’t be in this situation.

Highly Recommend

Attorney Riley is a highly experienced family lawyer and it shows. He handled my recent divorce case, and I can't imagine anyone else I would have preferred advocating for me. Tim had a respectful rapport with the opposing attorney on the case but consistently pushed for the best possible outcome for me. He kept me in the loop at all times as we went through the process, and he was responsive to all of my questions. I also found Tim's rates to be more reasonable than those of other attorneys I contacted. I highly recommend Tim as a family lawyer.

Riley is effective and compassionate

Attorney Riley is the best civil lawyer you could hire in Madison. He's been my lawyer for three important cases in the past five years. He has always been well prepared, persistent and polite in the court room. Most importantly, he has been extremely effective. I could not give a higher rating.

Would Recommend!

We retained Attorney Riley for a custody/support case and were extremely pleased not only with the results but with his service! Attorney Riley is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to learn the details of our case so much so that we never had any concerns going into court as we knew we would be well represented. It was wonderful to have a lawyer who we could trust and would definitely recommend him.

Way too invested

My ex finally wrote me a proposal that we could agree to while he was on “vacation”. We agreed to it and when he finally came back he vetoed it even though it could have ended my divorce. Since then they have sent over a “revised” copy that negated everything that was said in the first proposal. He is too personally invested, likely because they are sleeping together (so unprofessional). If not, I cannot fathom another idea as to why. Never has a legit argument but sticks to unproven, made up propaganda. He is a joke, and not the funny kind. Don’t waste your time or money on this self righteous joke.

Sloppy. No attention. Mumbles on about BS.

Hired this guy to help remove an abusive wife. My trauma was triggered during a transaction he dropped me next day. Because that no way to act. He cost me thousands and I have to pay my abuser. I'm in a very difficult place because of his intolerance to PTSD . He dropped me right as my retainer ran out. So a bit crooked also.

Client

I have retained Attorney Riley for the past 5 years or so, and I have been disappointed with how he has managed my case. If I share with him how I am feeling or how disappointed I have been, he appears to take it personally and is ready to hand me off to someone else. He seems to get irritated when asked to explain things more then once, though that is clearly his job. As my attorney, I need someone who will support me and be there. I have been very disappointed.

3 weeks and waiting

After 3 weeks of waiting and many attempts to get a status, I am still waiting for review of a contract to be completed. The one contract that he did work on had too many mistakes even after I delivered a typed outline for him to follow.
