I was driving home one evening through Walworth county after a concert. Rather than keep driving, I pulled over to text in a closed business parking lot when a police officer pulled behind me with his lights on. I had consumed a couple of drinks hours before stopping, but the officer seemed bothered ...and ordered me out of the vehicle. the officer wanted me to complete field sobriety tests and I politely refused. After a lengthy refusal hearing the trial court agreed and found that the stop of my vehicle was unconstitutional.
