Hired him for a friend with incredible results! The man is honest and does his best! If you have no case don’t bother him find another loser like yourself to represent you!
I have hired Steve Porter twice and we prevailed both cases. I watched as he fought to make sure I walked out with the best deal. We had a case that had plenty of proof and he had the opportunity to advise me to not settle, which would have only meant more money for him and a long wait for me but he was honest and chose what was in my best interest. I respect that. If you want someone that will fight hard for your rights and to make you whole again - this is the attorney you should hire.
I litigate employment discrimination cases on behalf of employees in federal, state and administrative forums. I am experienced in litigating under 42 U.S.C. ss. 1981 and 1983, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the City of Madison Equal Opportunities Ordinance and other statutes.
Recent cases litigated include Shaw v. Leatherberry, 2005 WI 163, 706 N.W.2d 299 (2005), Frazier v. Delco Electronics Corp., 263 F.3d 663 (7th Cir. 2001) and Vollmert v. Wisconsin Department of Transportation, 197 F.3d 293 (7th Cir. 1999).
I have litigated appeals in the federal and Wisconsin courts of appeals in the areas of civil rights, employment discrimination, family law and civil procedure. Recent cases include Shaw v. Leatherberry, 2005 WI 163, 706 N.W.2d 299 (2005), Frazier v. Delco Electronics Corp., 263 F.3d 663 (7th Cir. 2001) and Vollmert v. Helped me when I needed it
He represented me several years ago relating to issues that arose when I left my job. He resolved my concerns without the need for any formal legal action, and I was very pleased with his work for me.

Stay away from this lawyer!!!
Smooth talker to get your money, then disappears for weeks or months with a lot of excuses and indifference. He should not be practicing any type of law!!!

If you want results, find yourself another discrimination attorney
In a nutshell: hired this character for a discrimination case against an employer, he took thousands of dollars from me to file an ERD complaint, did not do much of anything but he was very skilled at avoiding me and not keeping me informed for 6 months. The ERD complaint he eventually filed was full of errors/omissions and was so horrendously late that ERD basically said that my case had no merit.
